    Here's a list of the combos in the Black Book for Akira. Once we get the PS3 version, I'll add Damage for each. I'll translate the notes to to best of my ability, feel free to correct as needed. Remember that of course there are dozens more combos available from these Attacks, these are just listed by Ohsu Akira as being the standard/most useful in his experience.

    Of course, these are all on Counter Hit. 1 and 2 are the standards that offer high damage and work on everyone I'm thinking. Keep in mind that the SDE changes stance: 1 is from Closed Stance (so that @ the time of the oppt being in the air, you're actually in Open Stance), 2 is from Open Stance.

    3 and 4 are combos that allow you to smoothly apply Ukemizeme (you have nice time to get into position to pressure the Tech Rolling Oppt.), while offering good damage. I think 4 offers slightly better damage, and may push the oppt further, but he says that it can't be used on Heavyweights, and I think it must be done from Closed Stance. I imagine 3 can be done in both stances on lighter weight characters, but I could be wrong about this.

    5 is difficult, but can be used against lightweights, and offers perhaps the biggest damage. You have to be in Closed Stance when starting. There's a note about using this Combo against Aoi, maybe you can replace the /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif with /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif?     6 is against Shun in Closed Stance, and has high damage as well as reducing his drink count by 1.

    The above combos are all done from /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif or the 2nd hit of /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif,/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif, both of which cause the "Flop" animation. The oppt immediately goes down onto their back w/ legs up. None of these require a Counter Hit, although if you Counter Hit with /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif, the 2nd /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif is guaranteed, and will Flop. Remember also that after the first hit of /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif,/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif, your Stance changes. Good to note as well is that /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif will connect after Akira's Break Guards on everyone in either stance.

    The basics here are 7 from Closed Stance and 9 from Open Stance (for 9, inputting the /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/d.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif slowly will make the combo easier). I'm sure that 7 will work regardless of stance, but that 9 will get you the best damage in Open. Against Heavy Weights, in Closed Stance use combo 10, in Open use combo 9, but take out the /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/d.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif.

    8 is for El Blaze only, from Closed Stance and only after /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif; it makes better damage than ending with /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif//forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/db.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/db.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif. 11 is a Technical Combo that offers the best damage against Lightweights in Open Stance (I know this also works on Blaze, not sure who else). It also makes Ukemizeme easy, so it's the best combo if you meet the conditions. Rememer to make the /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/d.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif slow in 9, 10 and 11 to make things easier.

    The above is the basic combo from the Koboku (Head KD) that offers good damage and works on everyone, and allows you to make Ukemizeme. Against some Lightweights, after the /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif, you can finish with /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif -> /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif//forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/db.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/db.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif to up the damage.

    13 is the biggest damage, and works on everyone but Jacky, Akira, and Heavyweights on Normal Hit (!), including Minor Counter, so there are many situations where it can be used. 14 works on everyone up to Akira (so I'm assuming just no Wolf and Jeffry), and in Open Stance you can replace the Double Palm with /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif (better damage?). For Heavies use combo 15.

Against various other characters, it will work on Counter Hit. 17 is good for heavier characters like Akira and Jacky (maybe not Wolf/Jeff?), and in Open again the DblPm can be swapped for /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif depending on the situation. Love's note: Some attacks that give Aki the wall KD are the DblPm and /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif.     Combo 21 also works against El Blaze from what I can tell, and in Combo 24 against Wolf, you can use /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif,/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif, not just /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif. If you want to go for a ring out after /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif, and don't care about style or pissing people off, I've gotten:

It's also easier to control than going for /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif,/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif,/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif -> DLC, since you can basically just watch the edge of the ring and hit /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif when it's close, instead of having to side-step after /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif. But, this is a cheap and ugly combo, I still like /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif -> DLC better.

The only other things I could connect with against any of the girls were /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/db_.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif and the Bodycheck.

    Interestingly, using the above combo after the /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/d.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif only seems to work on Pai and Aoi, not Eileen, and Sarah and Vanessa can tech after the 1st hit. Still, might try it on those two in Versus play and see what happens, but Eileen seems un-comboable with the AS3.

    I'll test it on Midweights tomorrow.

I had to go to practice mode on this because due to what feels like extended recovery of the bodycheck (not into comparing frame charts right now!) I was having real trouble following up with anything other than /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif in versus.

    HI everyone. I'm very new to VF. I'm just wondering how do you do the last hit of this combo? How long do I have to hold down the /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/d_.gif button? I can do this combo except for the last hit where im required to hold down the "down" button. And yes I'm using a joystick. Just a normal Hori one though.
    I can do this move /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/d_.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif
    separate as in not part of a combo...but when this is used as a combo ender I can't pull it off. Any tips for a newbie?

    That move requires that you be crouching. In order to get it out fast enough in a combo, you have to go from standing to crouching by crouch dashing instead of just holding down on the stick. So the command actually looks like

    Actually in that particular combo there is no need to buffer the crouch dash since akira is already crouching from the low punch.

    However, if you are coming from a standing punch or other move that leaves you in a standing rather than crouching state then you need to buffer a quick crouch dash in order to get your doublepalm like KoD said.

    Of course none of this (or my earlier post even) has anything to do with akira black book combos. C'est la vie.

    if you read the original combo list carefully, you'll see that I took the same time that Ohsu Akira did to spell out which combos require you to "buffer" the Double Palm, and which don't. The combos that require you to buffer the Crouching Dash show it as:

    yeah, I've been fooling around with getting a side KD from the bodycheck as well /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/cool.gif. Basically, even though it no longer seems to effect float height AFAIK, the "Small, Medium, Large" Counter Hit system from FT is still here in terms of Damage output (as noted by Kurita and others). So, since you have to Counter Hit a 21+ damage move from the side or back during it's execution, and most of these are stand-alone attacks, like FT it's still hard to get the sweet 96 Max damage off the bodycheck, unlike Evo where it wasn't that uncommon.

    But, it IS possible, I think we'll have to use the OM. Imagine taking 96 damage, then /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif -> /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif -> /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif//forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/db.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/db.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif!

    An easy way to practice this technique of comboing after the side KD is to use the /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif,/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/u.gif//forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/d.gif Throw, then follow with a Middle Kick against the Quest Mode cpu. Or you can use the /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif -> Bodycheck, if they do anything but Guard, they'll get side KD'd.

    For some reason, /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/d.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/db.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif-> /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif+ /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif -> /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/d_.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif does less damage on lighter characters.

    Also, while messing around last night in the Dojo against Pai, I found some things with /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif.

    Seems the best damage from a straight up /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif against lightweights (tested Pai and Vanessa so far) is open stance:

    /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif -> Dash /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/d.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif -> /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/d_.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif for 60 damage.

    The spacing on this is pretty tight, as the 2nd hit will miss if you don't dash enough. To time the 2nd /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif of the Single Palm -> Elbow correctly, hit /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif basically once the first hit has connected. Akira will have his arm fully out, and if you're in the Dojo, the timing is right after the "Mid" sign appears from the first hit. If you space it right, they'll be high enough in the air for the Elbow to get them. This combo can also be done with standing /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif, but the timing is VERY fast between the /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif and the /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif, and the damage is 51 (still better than ending with the Byakko by 1 point, but harder).

    I've also done the old Open Stance /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif -> 1 frame waste /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/d.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif -> /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif -> /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif//forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/db.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/db.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif combo on a few characters. Seems like it's still "Just" TR'able, but might work in VS.

    Near the wall, I've noticed that the combo options after /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif become much more open, even though you're not really hitting them into the wall. Some I've done mostly on Pai and Vanessa:

    These were all with TR on, and seemed to be true combos. Also, following normal hit SDE with the AS3 seems to become stance specific at heavier weights, I need to test it out more, but I've been getting it against Akira etc.

I also noticed that against Pai and Aoi, the /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/d.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/db.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif -> /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif -> /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/d_.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif does 73, while it does 80 against Eileen, Sarah, Vanessa and Blaze when I tried it (all normal hit).

    Really handy combo, haven't found any limitations, but buffering is crucial here. Guaranteed down punch as well for 80+ points. Great after successful evades and punishing ranged whiffs.

    (But I'll freely admit, I'll go for Dragon Lance any time I hit a float... just that much more comfortable. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/blush.gif )

    I think you added a /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif that doesn't need to be there. Also, no ground punch unless opponent hits a wall (unless your opponents don't QR or TR).
