i've gotten a few messages recently from random people i've fought in ranked matches asking me if i'd be willing to teach them vf sometime.

which is kind of sad, since i've more or less completely given up on it now.

i've caught the attention of gamefaqs nu scr- players.

For any Europeans interested, we're getting it in 2010, supposedly with exclusive characters not available elsewhere.

Not sure how much of that is true (as they'll probably be available as DLC), but here's the link:

2010? thats good... only 6 months late, if we are lucky.

 

Exclusive characters in a fighting game are always iffy due to tournament reasons.. But it would be good to have the game.

 

Knowing how much trouble they go to to draw and animate these characters I'd expect them to be included in an updated arcade version and as DLC for other console regions.

New moves were also mentioned and maybe balance changes so this might be a full on expansion for BB. It might get regular updates/sequels the way Guilty Gear did.

 

Got a chance to play this @ the Amsterdam gathering, and i'm definetly going to buy it,
having never really played guilty gear I'd like to get into BB when it hits.

Hey i got this game like a week ago.
so far i have to say its SO MUCH funner then SF4 its not even funny..
the only thing that bugs me is how annoyingly difficult the combos get... i generally perfer not to spend most of my time learning combos rather learn things like being able to predict opponents etc.. combos are kinda boring for me..
but thats why i main hakumen (i wanted to main litchi but shes just way to combo oriented for me). Hakumen doesnt need combos early on (later il prob need to learn some hard ones but w/e)

im thinking of trying rachel for a bit, see how she is cause maining the 2nd worst character in the game is kinda scary... plus rachel seems ez and fun for me to play . well see though

So my avatar is going to give away a bias, but I was pretty skeptical about BlazBlue after being let down by SF4 after reading so many positive things. I'm not a fan of anime either and was mildly disappointed to see them move away from all the GG characters I loved. I decided to take the gamble and pick up BlazBlue anyway.

Gud dayum this game is fun and really is everything a good 2D fighter should be. The characters are just as over-the-top and interesting as the GG characters so I don't even miss that. I like the offense-oriented combat and longer rounds (compared to SF4) and the single player modes even have some substance. I like the little voice-acting touches too, particularly how certain characters will say unique things to certain characters. Taokaka vs. Litchi is great.

I've been having trouble finding online games with decent latency though but I think its my location. I saw almost all Japanese hosts today or people halfway on the other side of the country. I guess that comes with being one of two people in the Midwest that enjoy fighting games.
