1. Hey Guest, looking for Virtua Fighter 5: Ultimate Showdown content? Rest assured that the game is identical to Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown so all current resources on here such as Command Lists with frame data, Combo Lists and the Wiki still apply. However, you can expect some VF5US specific changes to come soon!

I received my copy of Bleach for the Nintendo DS this morning and have been playing it a bit too much.

For those that do have the game, there's an IRC channel that some players have setup for some coordinated play on WFC.

    irc.rizon.net #bleach_ds

For me (on the west coast, USA), playing the Japanese matches have been fun but a bit laggy. Playing against North American players has been almost lag free for the most part, though.

The game has a lot to offer overall. Lots of unlockables for those that love them. The online play is fun under the right conditions. And I'm surprised how solid it is as a 2d fighter (though the verdict might still be out on whether multi-plane stages are a haven for the ultimate chicken play or not).

The pace of the game resembles Guilty Gear X, though I also consider the game to play similar to some SNK titles. GGX is probably the best game to compare it to though. There's a lot of dashing & teleporting, low/throw mixing, breaking and cancelling all over the place.

Like many 2d fighters, the game is very combo friendly on a level close to obscene--but imperfect combos can be broken easily at a small cost (a super). You have 3 teleports (a really fast dash) in most cases and they recharge slowly (how slow depends on circumstance), and these teleports can be used for movement in just about every direction, but also to link moves by cancelling them. There's the standard chain combo --> special attack --> super sequences as well. Can block all you want in the air.

And then there's 4 Player mode, which is frantic but some love it. I really like the game's 1on1 mode personally, but I've always been the sort to lean that way anyhow. The characters are really varied, playing fairly different despite commands being almost all identical.

After one day, I'm beyond happy and quite impressed with Bleach on the DS. One of the players I've been playing against tells me that this game is almost exactly like Yu Yu Hakusho (also by Treasure). We'll see, but to me, there's so much in this game that looks so much like Guilty Gear X, at least on the surface.

I've just got it myself and i'm really enjoying it. The presentation of the game is just awesome and the super cut scenes. I'll check out the irc chan

Combos seem really easy to do you can either do them old fashioned way i.e jab jab jab super fireball etc..

Or you can start a combo and tap the bottom screen for the super you want.

Its so fast and frantic and you can attack opponents from behind...

The basic combos are pretty easy. But there are some fairly intensive combos out there. The Challenge mode has a nice introduction to the combos of the game, some requiring really well-timed inputs and cancels (without even telling you you probably need to use a cancel lol).

Hope to see you on the IRC channel /versus/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Yeah I'll be getting this soon see you guy sonline shortly /versus/images/graemlins/laugh.gif
I highly doubt a us release as Bleach hasn't been picked up for license I don't think, plus why wait for a version where there change all the character names and probably alot of other pointless stuff too.

    Hey Archangel,

I still play Bleach when I can. Been a bit busy with stuff lately (work, school, etc...).

I'll PM you my friendcode and maybe we can figure out sometime to play or a way to reach each other if we're up for a game /versus/images/graemlins/smile.gif
