Blocking challenge 1C vs. Akira

I can't complete blocking challenge 1C. Akira alternates amongst -> Throw, -> Double palm, and -> Low backfist. The low attack is very easy to block, but the double palm and throw attempt cannot be avoided on reaction. I assume you're supposed to fuzzy guard, but I don't know how to do it.

no just hold guard and if he does the quick double palm or whatever you'll block it, if he goes for teh slow low backfist duck while holding block, i forget what i did for the throw though /versus/images/graemlins/smile.gif

 

I used the search, but looked for "Akira/blocking/challenge/1c" (not all at once, but in various combinations) but didn't find anything. Didn't try searching for "fuzzy guard." I remember I did once in the past, but could only find discussions of applications, but not how to do it.

 

Just do it as the advice says when the challenge ends. Have you completed the second Challenge, where Akira is hitting and you must guard against his attacks and a throw. A nice trick for that is to go back and let the hit you. Then Akira will do his tricks. is easy to block when it is high attack and you can see clearly the + coming so you can easily guard it. And the throw can't reach you! Just remember to hold when Akira throws or you will have you start from the begin. Try this funny cheat trick! /versus/images/graemlins/grin.gif

This is exactly what I did to pass it until I learned to properly fuzzy guard.
