Hey all.. I'm pretty new to VF5 and looking for some tips for Brad vs. Lau.

Specifically how to beat Lau's /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif or /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/d.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif. . evade seems near impossible. . ducking is useless. . I can't even seem to get a hit in after guarding even thought it puts him at a big disadvantage.. and I haven't been able to find a counterhit. .

Maybe I just need a lot more practice, but I don't have the same difficulties against any other character.

Any additional ideas on Brad vs. Lau are also welcome!

If you know Lau is going to PPP you to death, as soon as you block the first P go for a /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/d.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif. You will successfully low punch Lau on his third P and regain the initiative.

I start punishing people who do that with /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/uf.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif. In fact throwing out lots of /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif can be good just to get people to start low punching, because I find that /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/uf.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif is so sweet that that it not only deals damage but frightens the opponent to the point that they don't want to duck or low punch, they just want to run away crying. Maybe I exaggerate a little...

You block the first /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif, then do the /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/d.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif which interrupts the third /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif.

You don't low punch indiscriminately so /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/uf.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif doesn't figure into it.

You can block the last move by reaction. It's a risky and pretty dumb move for an experienced Lau player because he's at such a disadvantage if the last move gets blocked. If you eat the first 3 punches watch Lau, if he ducks then /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/d.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif if he stays standing just /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif then punish with a big move since he has over 20 frames of disadvantage.

Smart Lau players guard cancel the sequence at the second punch if you're blocking and throw you. Hell Smart Lau player probably don't use the sequence much except in juggles unless they're baiting you

Everyone gets a huge punish off a blocked low sweep ender. Jacky gets a full p+k,p combo off it, for one. Brad can probably knee somehow.
