He pulled on me too last night! It only makes sense that the higher ranks are littered with these people. Pulling gets them up in rank fast.

Hmm, seems like Sega did something about the pulling recently:
I was in a ranking match to rank up against a player of the same rank with about 90-95% XP bar. Game was lagging REALLY badly so I quit after the second round at 1-1. Checked his profile and he was from Japan, so no wonder the game was lagging that badly.
Got back on and my XP bar had changed, I was back to about 60% XP.
I normally don't pull but the lag was just too bad that time. The irony was if I hadn't pulled, I would now be 8th dan as I won a couple of games after that. It would easily have been enough to make back and rank up from what I might have lost against the Japanese player. Guess I won't quit anymore, now Sega just needs to let host bar people with bad connections and then I'd be happy.

Lately I was disconnected few times.
The only good think is, that it was player maches.

If Sega really changed something and a puller is loosing rank bar, then a second player should get some.

Otherwise the general amount of rank points will decrase and people will generaly loose their ranks.

I don't understand why people are cable pullers in player matches, it doesn't get recorded so it doesn't matter if you lose, that's the whole point of player matches.

That and if it's not for the sake of rank I personally tend to have more fun and find less cheap players.

I got to 1st dan on ranked with about a 60% win rate, but i was lucky enough to be against mostly lei-fei spammers.

However i even lost against them about 10 times... thats before i decided to not play as goh. Not the best starting char tbh. ^^

Honestly, I have been pulled on by at least 7 Japanese master/10th dan players in 2 days protecting their rank. I would say that lag was only prevalent in 2 of them. I get better connections to Japan than to most US states at night. Should I even bother posting every new person who pulls on me? I can't imagine the list helping people anymore now that it's so big. By the time I would scan the list to see if the guy on my screen is a puller, he'll no longer be available to play. I don't know how any of you got past master with the crap people pull on XBL. I guess I'll have to be that much better to do it.

I don't bother reporting anymore...every night I get pulled at least 3 times by some high ranked Japanese player and it can't be because of lag because my new ISP is insanely fast.

Maybe not on your end. Lag effects everyone differently, especially when playing moral.

i can't speak for Akairyu Medion pulling on you. are you sure he pulled or BOTH of you disconnected at the same time.

i know him well enough (online & offline) not to pull. AND he is one of the best Lei Fei players (only 3 i know) online, if not the best. spamming? i don't think so.

"Aoi G-Cancel everything" is a skill, and i have played his Aoi. for a sub, he is damn decent and definitely one of the fastest mover in the west, if not the fastest. not joking either. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif

your comment sounds like you got beaten pretty badly and pulled yourself, are you sure you're not here to make a negative comment to cover your own tracks.

 

Well I already played this guy a lot (hence my comments about his Lei fei and Aoi...), he never pulled though...
But yesterday he joined my room and lost 3:1 with his akira then pulled at the end...you know the usual freeze thing then disco...

EDIT : I didn't review him though, next time, if he pulled again, then there will be no doubts anymore...

 

yeah I know this player personally , he is not a cable puller, must be a bad connection that one match. why don't you pm him and ask? don't be shy, it's good to communicate...

 

VF Lion has pulled on me yesterday. He was playing a 10th dan Shun, I was Master, and after he realized that he couldn't win the match, he pulled, what a shame. Second time I met him ( I thought it was just a bad connexion the first time), he pulled even before he match begun.
