Calling All Austin, TX, VF4 Players!

I'm a regular at Einstein's on the Drag, and lately, I'm kicking my fair share at VF4 with Sarah (having mastered the flamingo stance has helped immeasurably).

But having met only a scarce number of players who know what they're doing, I can't (nor, I imagine, can any other Austin player) know how good or bad I am without some kind of reference.

I'm putting out a call to see how many Austin players we can rustle up for some kind of meager weekend VF4 tournament. I've asked the guy who runs the door about it before, and the only obstacle seems to be finding enough players to enter.

So how about it? Who needs to see how good they really are (or otherwise wants to show the rest of us how good they are, heh)?

FYI, I can usually be found at Einstein's sometime during the day on weekdays and often around midnight on any day of the week.

I'd hate to think my only chance of mastering VF4 lies in buying the PS2 version and training by myself with command lists at my side.

Anyways, I've been the major one trying to sell VF4 to the Tekken players over on EC and TZ for awhile now. I'm sure we haven't crossed paths but I do remember seeing *someone* playing Sarah against the CPU there last week and whoever it was got as far as Akira, which is pretty good.

I'm the white dude with buzzed hair(formerly shaved) usually playing Kage or Shun, and I am usually there (if at all) on Friday nights or my days off (tue/wed) playing until about 1 or so am.

Anyways, me and the usual Tekken regulars in Austin are starting to form a weekly get together on friday nights for VF4 on PS2, which I think is the best way to go all around... you get to use your customized and ranked chars and it's free.

P.S.S... I plan on being up there tonight from about 10 to midnight or 1. If no one shows up though I'll head on home so I can build up my rankings a bit more ;D

We are definately planning on having a Tekken/VF4 gathering on PS2 this upcoming Friday starting at 8pm and a friend's house.

There is pretty much no comp at Einstein's when I go, so I don't bother anymore. I spend 90% of my VF4 time on the PS2, where I think it is most productive. There I can at least rank myself and unlock costumes, etc.

If you go to this party friday remember it's BYOC(ontroller) and BYOM(emory)C(ard). Heh!
