chia jin ngee

i've been playing vf2 a bit lately and have only just stumbled upon chia jin ngee's vf2 FAQ. it is very interesting in that he relates a lot of the moves in the game to certain parts of martial arts (he says that akira's blasting sound effects that go with certain power moves represent his Qi power accumulated through hard practice of his hakkyoku-ken fighting style, and other similar stuff like that). has he written any more FAQs for VF2 (character specific perhaps) or even any VF3 FAQs? anyone know where they are if indeed he has written any more?

So far as I know/remember, The only guide(s) he wrote
was the system FAQ you mentioned.

GE is right, VF2 general doc is the only (VF) faq by chia jin ngee - he wrote some stuff concerning other games tho.

 

O.K. this has been buggimg me for a long time why did all these VF veterans leave the game it just kinda brings you down espiecally after reading all those old tourney and gathering reports over at Mr.Bungle's site.

Most of the "vets" I know have been playing the game
for a very long time. Some of the players simply
moved on because they felt they'd grown past the
game. Some quit because it was eating up too much
of their life. Then there are the few for whom life
changed around them--school finished and work
beckoned--and they left the various local haunts.
this meant that competition would dry up and without
competition interest wanes.

some of us caught the online game bug and fucked up their lives and dissapeared (bye bye joe leonard, bye bye lars..actually you're back, lurking amongst the 400 registered users, aincha?). some of us left because of the cruelty of others, and some of us also got shot in the chest with a shotgun in a crime of passion (true! it really happened! unfortunately it didn't happen to anyone i wish it would happen to). and others, like poor shang, were killed in tragic blimp accidents (oh wait i dreamed that). and some of us never even existed, like joji suzuki - i made him up. purely fictional. right chaj? that was fun, wasn't it?

chia jin ngee just has the COOLEST name, don't you think? although.."hans yum"...mmmmmm
