    Right. Whether part of a string or no string, Aoi is -18 after a blocked sweep (or -16 after a blocked back turned sweep) and unable to go into Tenchi right away in any of these situations.

    She can go to Tenchi after blocked 2K+G. Tenchi input just needs to be delayed slightly.

    She can tenchiparry elbows after blocked 2K+G, she can tenchi-sidestep Aois 43P after blocked 2K+G etc etc all that jazz. Whether of not Tenchi after sweep can be hitchecked I cannot say.

    so i've been testing some different ways to sober shun against the wall and here's what i found:

    wallsplat > [K][G] > [4][6][P] > [3][3][P] > [6_][P] > [2][1][4][P] > [1][P] > [4][6][P]+[K] max charge -- +71, -5 DP
    this one is already in the list but with a question mark. as far as i can tell, KG cancel provides the correct delay, but makes this combo fairly awkward to perform. maybe someone else could test further to confirm, i don't think i want to revisit this one lol.

    wallsplat > KNEE > [2][1][4][P] > [1][P] > [6_][P] > [4][6][P] > [4][6][P]+[K] max charge -- +71, -5 DP
    closed stance

    wallsplat > KNEE > [2][1][4][P] > [P]+[K] > [6_][P] > [4][6][P] > [4][6][P]+[K] max charge -- +71, -4 DP

    SDE MC wall > [2][K]+[G][P] > [2][1][4][P] > [6_] > [P]+[K] > [6_][P] > [4][6][P] > [4][6][P]+[K] max charge -- +77, -5 DP
    walk forward just a tiny bit before P+K. in closed stance you may omit this delay.

    low damage, but lets you remove 4 DP at almost any angle to the wall.

    it varies among characters, especially when you get into max damage combos. sometimes delays that are needed from the front are no longer needed from the side (blaze 46P > 6_P > 43P > 4P > 2P > 2_46P). for some characters, new combos are unlocked (sarah 46P > 6_PKG > 2K+GP > 2P > 2_46P). even stranger, sometimes a frame delay is needed on stomach or back side but not the other (no examples, i ditched these PITA combos).

    I see. So he generally has more time to do stuff? I'm sure other characters with the same knockdown property have potential to squeeze out more dmg as well.

    in some cases yes, in others less time, like the el blaze example above. another is 6_P > KNEE > 2P > 2_46P for sarah. no 1FK needed for 2P. i only made it through half the cast trying to find all the side combos i could, so going through the heavier characters may reveal more about how these combos work...or not. seems pretty random so far.

    Time to crack some ribs! Here are the most damaging [3][K] side crumple combos I could find. Any that start with [2][1][4][P] require you to dash in, unless an OM is specified.

    Universal (minus Taka)

    if you don't want to remember a bunch of combos, i'd roll with this one. easy, good damage for all.

    Amazing finds @mfwebdude! Put me to shame and thensome! Keep up the finds, and I'll continue to direct an akira player I come across to this thread.
    From my experience, Akira generally gets the same combo, however you'd either have to input your [2][P]'s as 1FK [2][P], or vice versa.

    thanks man. i realize there aren't as many players around anymore, but anyone interested in testing this stuff should give it a go. i'm pretty confident about most of what i post, but some are a little too difficult for me to get consistently. Aoi's 3K side crumple with 1FK P is one example (1FK Ps are a pain for some reason).

    on that note, it would be pretty awesome if the game showed something like this so you could see if you are getting a frame delay:

    I'm not sure if this is old news but I was dojoing Akira just for the fun of it and noticed that

    46P, OM to Taka's front, DLC is a staple go-to combo from both stances. 56 damage. Taka specific obviously.

    Not a "true" combo, but the closest I've managed versus Jacky:

    [6][4][P][+][G] > [2][K][+][G][P] > [6_][P][K][G] (fastest timing) > [2][P] > [2_][4][6][P] (74 pts)

    The [2][P] misses if Jacky performs an exact recovery, but if the opponent tries to mash the tech, or is just not expecting it, then you'll get away with it. So depending on your opponent, your mileage may vary.

    Forgot to add that versus Jacky, this works as a true combo:

    [6][4][P][+][G] > EDC to back > [2][K][+][G][P] > (1fd) [2][P] > [2_][4][6][P] (67 pts)

    Enter the [2][P] as [1][1][P][+][K][+][G] for the 1 frame delay.

    Incidentally, on the combo page there's a similar combo with [K][+][G][P] as the ender, but I can't get it to work against Jacky.
