Here's the list of translated version C changes for Lion. A fairly short list.

ABBREVIATIONS
--------------------------
FAA = Frame Advantage Adjusted (frame rate for the move has been changed, actual Japanese translation is Freeze Frame Difference Fixed).

HCB+P,P = Frame advantage on block is adjusted, now Lion is throwable after first punch, elbowable after second punch
db+P+K = FAA, even status only on counter hit
b,f+P+K,P,P = the elbow attack execution time increased (slowed)
d+K,K+G = 2nd attack now properly hits dodging opponents
K = FAA, Lion is throwable when blocked
f+K+G = FAA (recovery time increased), when blocked a punch is guaranteed
b,f+K+G, db or d+P = 1P and 2P un-atemi-able (atemi is martial arts word, unsure of meaning in this context)

Turn-toward d+P = hits opponents dodging towards direction of this punch
Turn-toward d+K = easier to retaliate when blocked (recovery time increased)
Turn-toward K = Easier to retaliate when whiffed (recovery time increased)
(while dodging) P+K+G = special high attack
f, db+P+G, u or d+P+G = u or d+P+G followup throw damage now 55 instead of 40
P+G = damage 40, reduced from 50

I believe the followup db+P or d+P is no longer a knockdown move in ver.C, so you can't continue the guessing game after b,df+P or FC,f+P+G by using the db+P to knock down a tech roller (vs doing option select pounce against a non techroller).

(while dodging) P+K+G = special high attack

Special high, in this case, I think means that it will defeat an opponent trying a low punch at the same time? Or is this a strong high like Wolf's clothesline?

b, f+K+G ,d/b+P or d+P does not always connect even when opponent tech rolls in ver.B
using the turn to d+K might be a better option now since it knocks down opponent and has an improved recovery rate.

As for the special high attack, does it mean that if you exectue d, P+K+G normally (ie. when not dodging) you will hit a low puncher?

Yeah, the db+P follow up only hits tech rollers rolling in one direction, not the other, I think. d+K will always miss if the opponent QRs.

That's what I read somewhere, but I haven't tested it out on PS2 yet (too busy playing Lei and Kage for now)

(up or down)+ P+K+G = Special Evading Swipe Attack 30 points hits high and also against low punch. (-1DP) flop stun. We call it Special High Attack.- Jang Midnight Virtua Player's Club
Thx [orqnge]Moby for excellent translation. Thx LittleWild for frame rate data.

I'm assuming b+P+K+G, uf+P+K+G and df+P+K+G are still dodges without damage.

The various P+K+G dodges remains the same. They do not deal any damage.

OK, figured out what "atemi" means, it's actually explained in the Red Book (had to look through it hehe). It means REVERSE. So in this case, the followup d+P or db+P is no longer low-reversible, as it was in version B.
