1. Hey Guest, looking for Virtua Fighter 5: Ultimate Showdown content? Rest assured that the game is identical to Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown so all current resources on here such as Command Lists with frame data, Combo Lists and the Wiki still apply. Judging from videos I've seen (and I think I read it somewhere too)it looks as if you can mix costumes together, eg wear the top half of CostumeA with the bottom half of B. Is this correct? If so can you do this from the start or do you win the ability in an item battle?

Also, does it affect which items you can use? If you unlock, say, a hat that is only for CosA, if you are wearing an A+B costume set-up can you use that hat? And would you only be able to wear it if A is the top part of your costume?

I hope eveyone understands what I'm trying to ask lol.

In arcade ver. C only, you can mix and match main clothing items - you can wear Costume A pants with a Costume B belt or top. I don't think this ability needs to be unlocked.

In arcade ver. C and all other versions, some items (like hats or shoes) will fit any costume.

This is a new feature Sega built in for ver C. to wear any item you want regardless of costume letter.

There might still be a point system though. I guess we will know at the end of the month when the X360 port is out.

I see, thanks. Hope the 360 version has it as it's supposed to be ver C.

Also, what do you mean by a point system? As you might have notice I've not played VF5, hence all the question I've been asking on VFDC.

I looked at a japanese item list recently, and it seems that it is that all pants/dresses/shorts are what can now be used with all costumes. All other items are still "locked" to their assigned costumes as before.
