Crushing and special high

You have the gist of it. And for the record, Lion's low K (d+K) is an exception that does indeed beat special high attacks.

Besides just finding out in the game, was there any way to actually find that out? No indication of that in his movelist. Any more like it?

 

Can special high attacks beat out moves that duck highs, such as El Blaze's and Goh's rolls?

 

In my experience, no.

They work vs. low ATTACKS. I beat Jeff's low kick last night with Sarah's flamigo /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif. Animation was almost like a successful sabaki.
