How much in-game money does it cost to remove an item (such as shirt or shoes) from a character?

Also, is there a video of someone actually playing around in the customize mode? I want to see what it looks like. Thanks.

It doesn't cost any money to remove an item.

As for vids, sorry, I don't know of any.

Oh, ok thanks. Does anyone have the console game that can make me a request video?

I think I might have misunderstood your question. If you already own an item, it doesn't cost anything to switch it/take it off. However, if you wanted to get a "shirtless" Jacky, then yes, you have to pay for that item.

Actually the shirtless versions of characters' costumes are gained either by completing one of the orb sets, or as a prize for one of the ranks.... I just don't remember which one is it /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif

Um, what is an orb set? And is there one for each costume?

In some of the matches, a chest prize appears and the player who wins obtains the prize. The prize can come in the form of items, gold or an orb.

If you collect 7 of these, this completes an orb set, and you can receive an item that is unavailable in the shop.

Oh... and in what mode is this? Overall how easy or difficult will it be to get this for several characters?

You guys never answered my question. Is there one for each costume of each costume per character, and how hard will it be to unlock one for each chara?

Its not based on the costume per se, but rather the character. For each character, you can complete numerous orb sets.

As for how difficult it is, the orb prize matchs appear randomly each time you start a match, either against the computer or human player. It can take quite a long time to complete orb sets.

There is a intentional glitch in the PS3 version (not sure if it was carried over to the X360 version), where you can make collecting orbs a lot easier.

Search for 'Sega Balloon trick' in the forums.

I dont think its a glitch, more like a secret trick. Therefore it has propably carried over to 360 version.

Well, it has been described before, but what the hell /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif

When you wins/loses numbers are the same, and are odd at the same time, which means 1,3,5,7 or 9, then there is chance, that on the quest map, there will be a baloon hovering somewhere.

When you see the baloon, wait on the arcade you wish to play in. When the baloon flies over it, just enter the arcade and play. The next ten matches will be prize matches.
What works best is when you have (...7)wins and (...7)loses... for me happend almost always.

What I also noticed is that you can even loose, just be sure not to quit the arcade, and start the next battle after losing, this way even if you lost let's say after 6th prize match, you can still continue with the 7th and the rest. What also works (if you are lucky) is to start a local tournament in the arcade WITH the baloon over it. This way you get to fight in the tournament AND every match in the tournament is a prize fight. After the tournament is finished, don't quit the arcade, and continue fighting in it, until the prize fights are over /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

Well... that's it, more or less.

Lol, I still don't get the orb thing at all. I'm looking forward to getting VF5, but I'm not looking forward to several hours/days/weeks of unlocking crap. Especially when I don't even understand the process.

You can win Orbs randomly from Item Battles that occasionally pop up in both Versus and Quest Mode. You have a little disc which they set on as you earn them. Once all 7 slots of that disc fill up, you are given various rewards. I believe the first disc set of 7 you complete gives you your 3rd or 4th outfit option. From then on, each orb disc set you complete will give you a random item, usually a more rare item than other obtainable items.

Hope that helps, but if not, don't fret. Once you see it in game you'll realize how simple it really is.

What?! Thats what VF is man, hours that turn to days and days that turn to weeks fighting in Quest mode to unlock "crap". Not even still, cuz you would wanna raise ur rank right? You play forever and you get better, eventually u learn to appreceate this damn game after like the 400th match. You get in training you become CHAMPION and then you just wanna pimp your fighter out. Until you get so damn good you want to play against someone who owns the game too, and then you realize you suck. I spent almost a year after VF Evo came out trying to get Champion with every character. Alas i only got to Champ with 6 of them, and average rank with some.
