Saw it just now and I have to co-sign. Though I never doubted it would be an awsome movie, because anything that has Batman in it can't suck by default. Its amusing watching everyone jump on the Bat-wagon now. I've been a Batman fanboy since I was 5, bwa ha ha. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif

this time i was able to appreciate the soundtrack and little details such as batman having the ability to turn his head after acquiring the modified suit.

I saw this movie yesterday. Thank you Mr Nolan.... The movie was just fucking epic. Ledgers performance as Joker was brilliant...

As opposed to all his gadgets. It didn't seem too far fetched to me. Considering that his computer can do far more crazy shit.

2. Yes, his gruffy voice was in Batman Begins too. Probably because he spoke more as Batman this time around it's why it annoyed you. But even in the cartoons its the same thing. (Kevin Conroy is hanging up his boots soon /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/frown.gif ).Bruce Wayne voice is very light however when he's batman his voice is far more "gruffy".

Why not Joker? Why not Joker's henchmen, the mob revenge/in-fighting or any other group of villains that make more sense. There were deaths and violence aplenty, there was no real NEED to frame Batman as the villain or even for Batman to be so willingly framed. I didn't buy the reasoning at all. It came on too fast and wasn't necessary as there were plenty of options.</div></div></div>

If they just claimed it was the joker, all the other policemen would obviously know they made it up, since he was already in custody at that point. The only person that was actually at the scene, and they could prove had been at the scene was Batman himself. And also, the only person who could disprove the lie at that point was Batman as well. Blaming the real bad guys wouldn't work, cause they would testify that they hadn't done it. As long as noone actually brings Batman in for questioning, then noone can even start investigating what really happened. There's also the whole psychological thing... Bruce Wayne doesn't really like who is in the movies, and doesn't seem to believe that he can really be a hero, remember the whole plot line where he's trying to quit being Batman the whole film. I think he really wanted the public to hate him, so they'll find a replacement for Dent instead of relying on him to fix their problems forever.</div></div></div>

The question is "Who killed Dent, and why?" And tecnically, Batman did kill him, they're just altering the why to "Because Batman must be evil", so they can preserve Dent's image, rather than the truth of "Because Dent was evil". The dead mafia guys can't say anything, and the crooked cops won't say anything, becaues everyone would find out they were crooked, so it's good enough to work.

I'm not saying the movie is perfect or anything, I think it had it's share of flaws, many of them in regards to setting up Dent's character. It felt like they refused to mention his "nickname" of Two-face early in the film, since it would be recognized by comic fans... and yet, all the comic fans probably recognized the name Harvey Dent, so it just made for messy pacing.

In this case, though, the result at the end was appropriate for resolving the themes of the story, which is really what matters most. Realism complaints are kind of missing the point (in any movie, that is).</div></div></div>
