Eh, Daytona USA is alright but I've always liked Scud Race/Super GT much more. Plus I have a special memory of Super GT since that game helped me win quite a bit of cheddar under the table, heh.

It's good to see Daytona USA finally make it to XBLA and PSN though.

Initial D Arcade Stage 3 next, please?

    C'mon Sega, make it happen.

Despite hating SEGA for releasing this over Daytona 2, I'll probably pick this up in Dec. during winter break. For reals tho', SEGA needs to release the Model 3 racers on XBLA.

It looks good but I want to see Daytona 2. I waited for FS and I can wait for Daytona 2 as well if I need to. If I really wanted to play this game I will just play it on my DC I still have the DC version of the game and I don't intend to get rid of it anytime soon either. Come on Sega give us Daytona 2 eventually I know you can do it you gave us FS (eventually like I knew they would) give us Daytona 2 as well.

You do realize in order for a Daytona 2 release, Daytona 1 will need to have great sale numbers

insta-bought it yesterday. IMO, the "HD" is really well done!, it doesnt feel like it was plastered with an obvious filter and it looks faithful while looking fucking great on an HDTV. I played online for a few and oh man is it fun (btw making another racer crash is such an asshole move lol, since its so easy to make someone crash...).

Controls feels HELLA HELLA sensitive, but nothing you cant get used to. But at first I was like "wtf is this", but quickly adjusted. I have a feeling it would feel really good with a steering wheel.

    good shit.

ps. Karaoke Mode is great, is like they knew the music is too addictive and you would be humming anyway.

I might get it just to see how it is maybe but that is about it. I might want to know how it feels compared to the DC version. Yes I am aware of what you said okay. It just isn't high on my priority list right now.

This is what gets on my nerves. I remember SEGA saying the Model 3 racers wouldn't come to the DC because "they are too old" then a couple years later, they come out with a DC version of Daytona. I was like "so that's how it is...."

Daytona USA 1 is still better that what's out there when it comes to racing games, but it would've been nice for them to release something that hasn't been released yet, let alone something that hasn't been released 3 times on 2 different consoles.

Alas, this is the ONE TIME nostalgia will EVER beat me.

I didn't like how the DC version felt, but it was still better than nothing to get Arcade racing fix at the time.

EDIT: Thinking about it...this game probably won't see great sales #s so SEGA will use that as excuse to not release Daytona 2 and SCUD, so we'll be stuck with only Daytona 1....again.
