the backside still bugs me a little bit, but heres going to be a start of a continuation of releases in the next couple of days. DVD coming very soon!!

I think as much as the final matches as possible, maybe even final 16? I'd also like to see some select matches if any of those have been recorded as well.

 

Put me down for one deluxe boxset. I vote for 100% of the matches to be placed on it, final 8 is too short imho.

I say that quality be should be emphasized a little bit more than having a bazillion matches. I don't think you should put EVERY match in, save me the embarassment. But ya, appreciate all the hard work man.

 

Some ideas:

Matches: I would say put in some of the best tourney matches plus the final 8

The bathroom wall would be a great cover but use the Shu pic for the rear/back pic with pictures from teh tourney and maybe some quotes from people who went

also make a montage video with some vid footage and pictures from the event. Madrox should have some pretty cool pictures of los angeles that might be of some use to you. Look at the intro to the 1upshow at 1up.com

Im thinking about lowering the quality of the Pre- Final 8 matches, so it might be able to fit one disc. Think maybe Beat Tribe DVD quality for those of you that own one.

How about this. . . . . . a compromise
A best match or two from every matchup
That way, we can up the image quality. People dont have to worry about "losing face" and Everyone gets on the DVD??

I completely understand why people wouldn't want to have their losing matches put on the DVD. Nevertheless, I think it will really detract from the excitement and overall presentation of the dvd. I think you should break it down to different categories like this.

1) Final 8-16. These matches should be included no matter what.
2) Good matches of people who don't care about losing face.
3) Good matches of those who do care about losing face so you need to pick matches where they didn't get beat too badly.

I'm not sure about the logistics involved since you will probably have to ask people how they feel. I guess you can approach this problem by coming up with a primary list of matches that you feel should be included, and then a secondary back up list of matches. You would then organize emails addressing each player of your intention of including movie #xx telling them who did they fight against and the result of the match, and see if they are willing to have it included. Then hopefully they will all reply and you will have a list of matches approved by the players and then from there you can pick and choose. Just a quick suggestion.

Final 8 matches are essential and need their own menu

I'd have about 20-30 highlight games that at least feature every character. I'm pretty sure every character in Evo was played, (except maybe Lion? /versus/images/graemlins/indifferent.gif )

And of course pre and post tourney footage. /versus/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Well here was the intial breakdown of my DVD structure

Disc1: Final 8 Matches + Bonus footage + Extra media
Disc2: All other matches

Final 8 Lasted about an hour and a half and the bonus footage hits roughly around 30 minutes.

The problem lies with disc 2 maybe disc 3. On a personal note, I really would like to give everyone a match in the tourney on the DVD. I believe this would be a nice nostalgic reference to look back upon, and also a reference point to look at as everyones VF training continues.

It seems that the compromise is what everyone is happy with. It should be only about 30-40 matches total in that respect.

If there is any space left and time to work left, i might add a Button input special for certain key matches.

 

Good news: Wallace's footage arrived today. I'll bring it to AI tomorrow night.

I hope we will see you again (in east side) I don't know if I can see you in New York because I am going to a college in NY state. It even will be farther than PA . I don't have driver's license haha.
