Diablo III

Anybody else play the beta? I hit it up Fri. night, but was underwhelmed. Dungeon Siege I was more entertaining...

 

Didn't play the beta. D3 is coming out earlier at the expense of no PVP but it will be introduced later so I'm fine with that. I'm really excited for it but I don't see myself playing as much as I did with Diablo 2, that shit was more addictive then drugs dipped in coffee.

Also when FS comes out a month after, I'll play even less but not completely abandoned. Blizzard has never disappointed yet so I'm not worried about it bombing.

 

Whole family just wasted an entire weekend. All 5 computers in the house had it running all day.

I like it. It's fun, but once you get through the story, the item hunting feels a bit too much like playing slot machines or trying to win the lottery. Kill monsters 9999 times and hope something good drops.

South Korea had the right idea to consider this game a form of gambling, and I'm worried that this concept may impact the whole games industry down the line.
