I didn't see much about this stick, so:

    http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002FKYPU4/ref=pd_luc_sbs_01_03

Shoryuken mentioned a price of $270 at Akihabara shop, without tax. Considering that the pre-order has it listed at $139.99 with free shipping as an option, this is a pretty good deal! It ships on October 19.

When the original stick was announced, I was ready to just pass up on the stick altogether. This was because I didn't like the button layout. However, I noticed now that the layout had been much improved, and the SE has retained that layout. I also noticed that the Pro EX had good reviews, if Amazon reviews account for anything.

Here are the features of the Pro EX-SE, copied and pasted from the above website:

    1. Seimitsu parts used for stick lever and all buttons.
    1. The 8 main buttons are designed and placed on same layout as the arcades.
    1. Expansion port allows you to attach your headset so that you can chat while playing online.
    1. Wide body and heavy weight gives added stability for better gameplay.

i think the main difference is just the deifferent button and lever, all the rest seems to be quite the usual HRAP stuff.

from what i know about sanwa/seimutsu:

seimitsu lever is shorter than sanwa

seimitsu buttons sort of CLICK, while sanwa are smooth

people say seimitsu is best for shootem'ups, sanwa is more popular for fighting games.

all of this is just from friends opinion, because i only used sanwa so far.

Seimitsu parts will be used for the stick and buttons for the Pro EX-SE, while I believe that the Pro EX used a Sanwa stick and Hori buttons.

I just got my stick in the mail a couple of days ago (don't pay for shipping from Amazon, as their shipping always seems to be really fast). The Seimitsu parts are noticeably stiffer than the Sanwa parts, which is good if you don't like how sensitive they are. The quality seems to be quite good, but it took me a bit to get used to the overlay. The right edge of my palm was hitting buttons at first. I found it easier to pull off Akira's combos with it. The stiffness kept me from hitting directions by accident.
