Difficulties with Sarah

    Okay, I am fairly new to Sarah, and I'm having some troubles:

    1. If I use a combo like /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif, sometimes my last hit will be blocked, and then my opponent will immediately throw me. How do I counter this?

    2. What are some good techniques for playing against fighters with a low stance, like Lion, Shun, or Eileen? When they play defensively, I can't seem to get through their block. They duck below my grapples and a lot of my attacks go right over their head, leaving me open to their attacks from below.

    1.) /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif is not a combo, only the first 3 hits will combo. The last hit is enormous disadvantage on block, if they block a throw is guaranteed unless you escape it by entering /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif and the last direction of the throw they used. However this doesn't save you cause it is still punishable by most attacks.

    2.) You are probably using way too many highs. When people duck you need to hit them with a mid. Try /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif, /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif, and /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif. They will hit them if they crouch.

    It seems like you don't understand fully how the game should be played. I would suggest checking the wiki on the site menu in the upper left hand corner of the screen for help.

    Many "combos" in VF can be blocked before the last hit. This applies not only to Sarah's /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif, but other common strings like Lau's /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/d.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif or Lion's /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/d.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif as well. There is no way to avoid being thrown after these moves are blocked (although you can try to escape the throw); if you come up against an opponent who does this, try throwing out a few punches and then throw him instead of doing that enormous knee.

    I think /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/d.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif is now a combo on normal hit in ver C. It does seem to work better on the 360.

    To the original poster. You need to use more mid attacks if you find your opponent crouching in front of you. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif is reletively safe, even when blocked, and the second /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif is half circular, so it will often get people trying to evade your attacks.

    I had the same problem with /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif so I just switched to /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/u.gif + /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif (I think) the one where she flips instead of knees. I think its alot better cause if the block the flip you're pushed back enough to avoid grabs. I don't know anything about it's advantage/disadvantage or frame data properties, but it works ok for me.

    /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/u.gif + /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif is a flamingo entry move -6 on guard.

    The flip you're talking about is -31 and it doesn't push Sarah back enough to avoid grabs, you can still get thrown the defender just needs to dash in and do it. If they respond immediately with grab then it would whiff.

    This is true. In ver.C its a natural combo on normal hit (doesnt knock down) and will combo and knock down on counter hit.

    I see, I'll keep that in mind if I try to take that online. I'm playing against the AI on normal in quest so, I guess they don't try that hard...
