Disconnected from opponent - are these quitters?

Just been trying to have a reasonable session and regain 4th Dan with vanssa, only to come under some abuse from people who it seems get miraculously disconnected whenever they face a loss. I have nearly 500 losses under my belt, and have learned a lot from each of them. Anyone else have this problem? I've checked my connection, no problems as far as I can tell. Whenever I message them, I usually get no response or abuse, accusing me of having a laggy connection (even though my provider assures me I'm running at 10MB at the very least).

If this is a common problem, anyone else in favour of a hall of shame?

I drop if I'm about to lose in a real laggy match. Why we don't have the option to decline people who have a bad connection is weak.

    Plus it's funny to me.

There's a problem where the xbox360 doesn't read the disc properly if you boot it up with the disc. This happened a couple of times when having matches on live, and the disc went bonkers, and the xbox tossed me back to the main menu.

Probably a hardware issue, but I've read in other forums that this happens with other games as well when having live matches, so its not always the opponent purposely disconnecting.

I used to get those random disk couldn't be read errors even though the disk was being read just fine before and no errors came about until the 360 decided to quit on me. Knowing the disk is fine and all, it isn't too much of a big deal as long it doesn't happen in a vital match and it doesn't happen at these crucial times too much. Oddly enough if the fight already began and it stopped reading the disk the music on my end stop playing and match goes on detoured. If it happens during the loading it can't read the disk and kicks me out funny isn't it.

Those that quit in ranking matches really got to me too but that is why I preferred players matches where ego is never an issue, we play simply to play and only that. However to find the really good people you have to deal with the quitters in ranking matches because that is where the better people play. I personally hate ranking matches mainly because of the quitters and abusers of good characters that use them far below what they can when I know they can do better.

Well, I only play player matches and sometimes in the middle of the fight I get the disconnected thing and brought right back to the vs menu, even if we've been rematching for a lil while.

I've always wondered bout this too but I figured it was just the server or whatever cause when it happens we are both moving around n whatnot then all the sudden the disconnect thing comes up.

Me personally wouldn't know bout it but that would suck to get demoted or lose alot of rank bar thing cause someone didn't wanna lose and quit.

It happens in every online fighting game. Rank whoring is overrated to those who focuses on buffering their records by beating on the less capable and avoids those who are average or above at the game. They're nothing.
