1. Hey Guest, looking for Virtua Fighter 5: Ultimate Showdown content? Rest assured that the game is identical to Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown so all current resources on here such as Command Lists with frame data, Combo Lists and the Wiki still apply. However, you can expect some VF5US specific changes to come soon!

Remember that default buttons are wrong.

I set the top three and the bottom three the same when I started thinking, "if one set has a button that stops working well I can switch to the bottom three."

It has worked just fine for me so far... I hit G with my index, P with my middle and K with my ring finger.

Just checking, but this is how the buttons are laid out in Japanese arcades also, right?

I was just about to ask this same question. I changed the default button mapping for my EX2 to this:

    VF5 Button Mapping

Does this look right, or should I change it to something else?

So is mapping the P+G combo-type stuff generally frowned upon?

I mean the game only has three buttons - that's simple enough. Why do you want to create a fourth if there's nothing like that in the arcades? It won't hurt or slow you down if you press two buttons or even three (eeeeek! even 3!) at the same time ... Trust me.

Yep, this is how you do it!

Leonard_McCoy - I apologize for my ignorance. I'm a total VF noob, and I've never even seen the game in the arcade to be honest. I was only asking about the P+G stuff because the control setup has them listed for mapping.

    A-Guard, B-Punch, X-Kick FTW!
