1. Hey Guest, looking for Virtua Fighter 5: Ultimate Showdown content? Rest assured that the game is identical to Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown so all current resources on here such as Command Lists with frame data, Combo Lists and the Wiki still apply. However, you can expect some VF5US specific changes to come soon!

They actually allowed that moron to put his review up. I'd love to crash the site, but I'm not that petty. Instead, I've posted a thread in their forum asking "if shadowjin were in VF4, which character would you use ti beat him up?" Please reply accordingly and show that such ignorance toward VF4 will not be tolerated...

I finally caved in..went there to see what the hoo haa was all abt (replies I meant)

My god...I have never seen VF being defended in such a way.
Biggest surprise was Marginal, someone whom i bumped into at GI.com.

He's the last person I expected to see there (funny review of T4 btw kekekekeke)

All in all, quite a pleasing surprise.

By the way, I love his lame ass reasons for trashing the game.
    What a tool

Oh, you havent heard anything, You should check out this guy named EVIL150 or something like that on TZ. Had baisicly a 6 page thread of about 3 people <- going back and forth. With all of his points being totally whack. Then half of the Tekken players ended up turning against him at the end when VF4 came out on PS2 and they actaully played it.

Meh, you are right. I don't even play tekken anymore. It still kinda fun to just goto the boards and talk with peoples. The mods there are so lax.

OMG Yeah, Ivy was the best addition to the SC/SB series ever. I hope they dont mess up my sophitia either with that new daughter thing they are doing or what ever. It was all about Ivy and Sophy:)

Ivy is gonna be really powerful.
(by the sound of it at GI. Some of them have played - or are still playing - test SC2)

On that Extended play show on TechTV they had some more SC2 Footage. They also said its gonna be released in US in June if you didnt know already. I hope they still kept her summon suffering. I was propably the only one who played around here that could actually buffer that stuff in a good way.

    SS is still here.
I can SS at least twice an hour. j/k, I can SS, but buffering it within single moves is beyond me, so I can rarely use it well.
But the hardest move of all is Yoshi d+B~A....

Hell, I don't play Ivy and I can buffer SS from a single move. (It's fairly easy off 3K) It just takes some practice, and a bit of planning on at what point in the SS motion you want to throw out an attack. /versus/images/icons/wink.gif

Is that how everyone does it? (I'd rather be able to squeeze it all within the move)

Ideally when you're doing the buffer you do the move from within the buffer itself. (Since the SS motion covers pretty much the entire range of directional inputs, it's not too hard to introduce mixups and even combos into the SS buffer) That way you conceal the motion a little more, and you have a bit less lag between the move and the throw attempt, so it's not as obvious.

Like buffering in the 3K motion for example.Ivy's probably just resettling into her stance when the SS motion's done.

That has some good SS info if you haven't seen it already.

I buffer SS as well. But when I get lazy, I'd do b,b+k and buffer the motions while I'm lying on the ground. SS comes out the moment I rise :p

Actually, I hope Cassandra has less Sophi-cheesiness. It's no fun when you can do b+b slash all day against cpu and players who don't know how to interrupt with a quick slash or kick off a crouch-block. CPU's even worse... f,f+b, as they come down, b,b,b+b~a... watch them TR into the unblockable, gets knocked in the air, falls, do unblockable again, watch cpu eat it off TR again, etc... the hardest AI setting's still a disgrace in SC.
