Duke Nukem Forever

Anybody get this? Is it as bad as the reviews say?

 

yes, its bad. avoid (or buy on steam when they have those sick deals). wait for serious sam 3 instead.

 

I got it early, so I've had a few days to play with it and digest my feelings on it. And no, it's not really bad per say. The loading times are a bitch, and completely unjustifiable. The graphics are a bit rough around the edges. The game is short, but at least it's not too repetitive. I found that if played on hard, the game is an enjoyable challenge, and a pretty cool throwback to old-school FPSs. However, this is not the greatest game ever made, and considering how long it spent in development, you'd be completely justified in expecting a whole lot fucking more than it actually delivers. Overall, I'd give this game about a 6 out of 10. It's fun, and at times pretty funny as long as you can appreciate it as the satire it is. But in the end, the only thing that really elevates this game above it's own mediocrity, is it's reputation. Take from that what you will.

 

Is that the 360 version or PC version?

I will get it for PC anyway really.

not gonna lie, this game is OKAY - thats it. Real linear, but all but duke nukem 1 was like that... and I do feel that they try to force the humor down your throat. I don't mind that they tried to implimet some random things in the game to boost your ego, thats a cool little approach at a power-up, but all other jokes n puns seem overdone. its a good rent. and it's got me all readied up for Serious Sam 3!!!
