took hours to make that painstaking video hope you guys find it useful. All the blackbook combos are in there and a few extra.

I was surprised to see the actual combo so i went over and looked at the stats for the move... why the hell is it only -2 on block? That's just wrong /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/crazy.gif

Eileen ranting aside, tricky, have you considered buying a video card? Or something like this ? I'm asking 'cause you're really industrious and it's a pity.

 

I have thought about it, I just don't know how expensive these things are. I would totaly go out and buy one if I knew enough about those kinda things.

 

for sombos such as 9k+g> pp> 236kkk you wite 6pp. I know you intend 'holding' 6. but some people might not and will think you mean the elbow-punch-kick string you also write as 6pp(2k)

yeah I thought about that too, I figured since it's a video they'll figure out what's going down, or they'll look at my inputs. Actually putting in the slides with the commands was inspired by you since you asked for it. Sry some of them are kinda small, you can kinda make it out when you full screen it

 

yea the slides are great, gives a much better idea of wich combos are important.

 

Here is a video of a match I played against another Eileen player. I forget who it was but they were pretty good. I'm actually suprised I won, because overall I wasn't playing that well. Anyway there is an interesting combo at the beggining that Tricky wanted to have a look at.

Yeah this is what I found out last night from some testing after our match. That combo he used has some pretty strict timing on that 4K+G there. I'll have to give that another shot to see what the dmg is.

works on eileen, might work on others too

tested with computer set on fastest rise speed side roll, if they TR the stomp won't work so really depends on if your opponent knows to TR this combo or not.

Hi Tricky, may I know if all the combos in the video are true combos? Granted, they're from the black book, but some of the ones like the first combo against Jeffrey seem TR-able, and since I don't have a console there's no chance for me to test them myself.

 

they're all true except the stagger combos which can be . . . struggled out of. I find non-true combos to be a waste of time and effort.

I tested out that combo from that vid and the ground attack can be avoided if you hit them at a funny angle which will probably happen since 3P+K will hit them on CH, That said I recommend using this variation of the combo for max dmg on eileen(haven't tested it on different weights yet)

3P+K < 9K+G < 2P < 4K+G < G clear input buffer < BT K leads to

57 dmg

hey, what is CH?

 

CH means Counter hit. It's when you hit an opponent before their moves active frames hit you accompanied with a orange flash. You can also get a minor CH if you hit someone during their recovery frames after they performed a move, it comes with a blue flash.

 

oh cool, could you also tell me how you linked 66p to 6p+k in your video because i've been trying for a while to make the hits count as a combo, but it won't work. maybe there was a patch or something?

the 66p must connect on Counter hit. You can set the CPU to counterhit in the dojo settings.

 

Blue flash is counter hit from the side. Minor counter has white(?) flash or maybe no flash at all.

 

really I always thought minor was blue. granted I've only gotten them from the side.

 

how do minors affect combos?

 

they normally act the same way as majors. I don't know much more about them than that.

 

They increase the damage of the first attack (albeit less than a Major Counter). They also allow certain moves to float the opponent that wouldn't if the hit was just normal.
