Eileen youtube vids

since I've noticed our thread seems to still be dead dispite the awesomeness of our character maybe if we had a thread dedicated just to the posting of eileen vids that way you don't even need to tell us what you're doing just show us and we can comment on things and ask questions. It should be a nice way for all of us to lvl up quickly. I saw shoryuken.com doing this so if the 2d fighters can do it why can't we?

 

if any of you forum moderators think this is a bad idea don't feel bad telling me it'll be alright I just think this'll make it easier for people to find vids of their chars without having to sift through a lot of stuff. I'm going to put up my first set of vids I think were good enough to go on this list, though I'm still not sure if it'll be breaking a rule or not.

It looks like I OM out of a grab in the first round, as far as I know that's not possible perhaps if you're on adv. and you OM you'll beat the grab?

I suggest to post fewer videos and pick the best 2 or 3 matches. The rest you can place for links or on your you tube channel.

For your Eileen and other characters, you have many things to improve. For your offense it is too limited. For your friends it is too random. All players can learn to take guaranteed damage unless it is a setup. This is some basics. For example in your first video:

2:15 Pai does backstanding K, simple damage such as 66p,k is a better option than 8p.
2:11 Pai 2k+g guarded it is -18. Your reaction is too slow and you can try some guaranteed damage.

There are several other basics but it should help to practice the basic attacking and defending.

 

I don't actually have the game so i can't really practice them ahead of time, I go to HerkDawg's place to play it like twice or three times a week. I kinda need to walk in with my bag of things to work on already there in my head.

i feel like all us eileen players feel the same way about ourselves. I still don't know if I'm good enough but somebody's gata do it. We can't let the other chars get all the gravy.

Guess I'll throw some stuff out there.

First thing is, you might want to be a bit more careful sometimes. You're very aggressive, and that works against your current opponent, but once he starts evading you're going to be eating some big damage. In fact, you both need to use evades and OMs a bit more.

Also, it might be a good idea to cut back on the use of the 214+K. I used to abuse it as well, but it's definitely not something you want to throw out as much as you do. Try mixing it up a bit more with her other options.

Finally, just a small thing. When you get a crumple combo, finish it with 6P+K, P, 236K,K,K.

ah thanks for the heads up on 214P+K. I try to do 235k,k,k but I can't get it as consitatnly as 6P+K,P,P

if nothing else this thread could be a good way for us to all pick away at our weaknesses to make ourselves stronger.

great match here The eileen player was all over their imputs. I sitll have a hard time getting 22_3P+K, 236K,K,K getting the last kick off or just getting the first part of the combo is hard to do on a pad. I need a damned joystick for ps3!

I know this is off topic, but how does one recover quick from a stagger??

 

Keep G pressed down and rotate stick and press the other buttons rapidly.

 

here's a vid of gorgeous's eileen. I'vee been watching him a lot lately trying to take his combos and setups because he's really good at it. In the vid he does 2K+G on pai's wakeup and I couldn't tell exactly what he was doing. Is that similar to kage's 9K+G for when the opponent is on wakeup?
