    Hello everyone,

I reactivated El Blaze a couple of days ago and again his fighting style is fresh, new and fun. During the quest-mode fights I randomly tried some moves I never used or just rarely. However, some of them are causing stances or situations which are new to me. Mainly, I wanna talk about these moves and how to follow-up, or how to react:

    /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/n.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif - /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif - /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif
    /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/n.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/u.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif
    /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/n.gif(opponent crouches)/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif - /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/d.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif

I know that the first one deflects high punches, so my question is: Does it just deflects high punches or also mid punches/high, mid kicks? Because the follow-up with /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif - /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif makes nice damage and also has some Ring-Out potential.

The second move is a nice combo-launcher but can be easily blocked or evaded. I think the best moment to do it is when the opponent makes a low rising attack because with /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/u.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif you jump over it and then he takes the damage. The question is: Are there good strategies to force the opponent into doing a low rising attack? This is - how I can imagine - not so easy. I also encountered situations where I jumped over my opponent while he was doing his attack. This leaves both players backturned to each other. I mainly used (backturned)/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif in this situation, because on CH the opponent has a stomache crumble.

Last but not least the "low-throw-combo". I know that the /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/d.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif can be avoided. My question is: How do they avoid it and is there a possibility that I can make this throw work?

Hope you can understand it well and answer as quick as possible

Wow, really good answer. Of course I looked there and now I know how to work the sabaki. But in my first post I have specific questions which are not mentioned in the wiki so please keep this (I saw it a few more times from you) sentence to yourself instead of posting it here. Thank you, and now I'll wait for people who will hopefully answer my questions or post some good ideas.

    I'm a prophet now.

And, what should I find in a commandlist (yes, of course commands)? I want to know what the options are:
/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/n.gifOpponent: What can he do (EVERYTHING) to avoid (back, crouch) /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/d.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif?
/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/n.gifIs there a way to throw him 100 per cent?

I want answers from humans, not from words written down somewhere. The only thing I know now is, that it sobers (woo-hoo).

    Thanx.

    What means 'spoonfed' ?

it means instead of doing research you rely on others to find answers for your questions. I feel bad about people ragging on you but seriously, the info you need is all in the wiki.

spoonfed means you want other posters to feed you information that people have already gone through the trouble to create a Wiki and a frame-detailed command list.

this is nothing against you personally bro, but information like whether low throws can be escaped and the sabaki properties of a particular move, does not warrant the creation of a new thread.

I will concede that your question regarding low rising attacks and 8P+K was valid however. And as such I addressed it.

    Ah okay.
Back to the topic: And what about the situation where I jump over the opponent with /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/u.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif and both are backturned? Any suggestions how to beat the opponent? I know that there are many options but it's now somehow character specific and this is not mentioned in the wiki.

I would follow with K after a backturned situation, since your opponent will likely be at a disadvantage and crouching, and BT K is a 15f Mid

Ah okay, than it is the best choice. I always hope for a stomache crumple to follow up with /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/d.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif - (rise from a crouch) /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif - (and if the opponent not techroll) /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif

If you want to force someone into a ducking situation with El Blaze, he's standing PPP, is a good way to start. Everything I'm about to explain has to do with he's standing "PPP" setup. First, those three hits are guarantee. Second, if you think they're going to attack(Remember, he's 8P+K could be jab out of the air)Use he's P+K+G>K>P+G, or you could do a DM into a RD!.

Third, if you think they're going to sidestep, throw them, or delay kick them(If blocked, or hit, RD!). Just mix it up, and you'll be good. PPP into 8P+K is the common setup for him, and usually, people get caught with it, but alot of people are aware of that, so be cautious.

Don't forget the power of he's other setup's as well. 4K>P(Those two hits are guarantee) ---into a throw, or delay P. If P connects, combo into 4K>P>P, it connects. Same could be said about 3P+K>P(Those two hits are guarantee) into a throw, or delay K. Put that into your play style, and your Blaze will have people guessing.

Woah, now thats a package of nice infos. All I have to do is finding out which number is standing for which direction and read thru it like hundred times.

Look at a Keypad on a keyboard. And imagine if that's a Dpad, or Joystick. For example, 2 means "Down" 8 means "Up" 4 means "Back" 6 means "Forward" Take a guess, and figure out what "1" "3" "7" and "9" stands for?

Oh, okay. problem is that i have a laptop and the keyboard does not have a kepad but I know now. I'm more comfortable with db, d , d_ and etc. 1 = db, 3 = df, 7 = ub, 9 = uf.

P.S.: Shinobi, in your signature is a typo. His name is Plague /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif

There you go, you're officially a fighting "Nerd" lol. For future reference, use Google or the VFDC Wiki before making a post about any move questions or combos. Just looking for you man.
EDIT- Thanks for pointing that typo out mate.

Hm? I thought this forum is there for asking questions.
Whatever, it seems that I always make something wrong. Wheter it is that I just post one liners or that everything I ask is useless junk or already posted in the wiki. I think the only thing here I can use without being blah blah blah'd is the shoutbox.

(this post is so Emo :D)
