    Finally... /versus/images/icons/laugh.gif
I am guessing they will charge 1 pound per credit.
Hopefully the controller and buttons setup will be good.

It's confirmed Evo is at Play 2 Win in Oxford St, it was all boxed up when I passed round there earlier so they should be setting it up to play Friday.

Also heard it's a Japanese cabinet so button layout it shoud be fine

It has arrived and is in Play-to-win Oxford Street.
They beat Casino to get it.
Note how quiet the guys are about it. They want to get in their practice and get ahead before the others.

I'll try and get Casino to do a better deal than Play-to-win when they get theirs because Play-to-Win won't allow filming.

Don't blame them from stoping you filming you might capture some of those under age kids gambling by accident.

sorry, that move has priority! And anyone who says Wolf is to weak is on drugs, he's a monster...as is Goh, and Sarah, and...ah dammit everyones coming to party, and its a free bar all night.

Now if only they'd get some decent joysticks on the machine, no TFT - Knee ALL NIGHT!!!!!!!

i just went there today (saturday 16th 2:00pm) i noticed on the ranking screen i saw a vanessa with the ring name of "VO", could this be VOSOR? how does everyone get VF.NET cards? and how do u slot it in? i did'nt see any where to put it on the machine..

anywayz, im just getting to grips with evo wolf, and i have to say he plays soooo supreme /versus/images/icons/laugh.gif the machine seems ok, the button layout is abit like the european setup, but slightly slanted (not as much as japanese)

the machine is 50p per credit, and the seat seems like it even rumbles on impact (could just be the bass) the game plays like a dream, and i can't wait till things get warmed up around around the area, heh, looks like the UK crew's finally gonna kick some ass with EVO /versus/images/icons/grin.gif

We'll it looks like we are all moving over to Evo sooner than expected.
    Casino are too slow.

Anyway I will still run the last VF4 event at Casino on Sunday from about 6 - 9 for anybody who is interested. Then we will finish off the evening at Play-to-win.

hey guyz, some great UK competition going on there last night... sorry i could'nt stay long, i noticed i started to play worse and worse as more people arrived so i wanted to save myself the embarassment, LOL /versus/images/icons/wink.gif

i must say people are getting to grips rather nicely, UK-guy's kage is great, i managed to defeat it a match, but once it got warmed up, it was leik rock solid. Odu's jeff is awsome, not even wolf could break it, though atleast i can brag that i defeated odu "exellent" a round, LOL good enough for me /versus/images/icons/grin.gif The Wall / Captain Digital played well also, i particualy liked one scenario where he used the P+K (uncharged) ~ three-quarter-circle+P+G, was kindda cool, and unexpected.
VOSOR's getting to grips well too, and also the brad player that was there was strong..

i look forward to our next meeting, peace guyz.. /versus/images/icons/cool.gif

Spoke to the arcade peeps, they might change the joystick to casino style. It's just they'll have to drill 4 holes for each new stick, and the tech bloke did not want to start doing that to the deluxe Naomi cabinet without getting the all clear from the his boss. We'll have to live with the button layout (think top row of buttons in a 6-button SF2 setup), but hey I can live with that. Also Kages TFT - Knee timing has changed, you have to buffer in the knee when Kage is about 2/3rd of the way into standing, so much smaller buffer window. Some verC combos don't work but it seems the f+K+G settles the damage quite nicely /versus/images/icons/wink.gif

You think so? I haven't noticed any difference myself and I've been landing knees very consistently...

    cheers,

Well I'm hoping it's just the joysticks than, they are just now accurate for diagonals for some reason for me.

However I'm fairly certain that you cannot do the 'auto-knee', kind of the earliest buffered knee, let go of the joystick and Kage will rise and than do the knee.

Well I'm hoping it's just the joysticks than me, they are just not accurate for diagonals for some reason for me.

It's not just you mate trust me. I was wondering if there was any chance at all of them lowering the guard button, so the buttons can meet the requirements of a human hand not a foot or an alien. That rumbling in the seats is too much it's like having 10 Dual Impact 2 pads inserted in my ass while playing, my legs feel like jelly after matches.

Whatever Wall! You were the only guy with a BIG smile on your face when that seat rumbled, almost like you enjoyed it or something...

In fact I reckon you lost on purpose just so you could get your thrills from Wolf get hit and causing those (joyous for you) seat rumbles

    u sly devil you /versus/images/icons/wink.gif

Did they change the joysticks? anyone been down since the weekend?

I was there this evening between four and seven. I met Ryan and was thoroughly pummelled but I walked away a little stronger. Warning, I don't know if they've rectified this since I left but the second Evo machine (next to SC2) has it's buttons configured wrongly. Kick has been switched with guard and it's near impossible to play properly, I wasted a pound on it so make sure it's been fixed before playing on it.

Other than Ryan there was a Vanessa player who while not the most adept opponent I've faced non the less got the better of me by a few rounds. It always came down to time outs or minuscule life but I feel that my lack of Evo Sarah experience was in his favour. I'll be back tomorrow roughly around the same time.
