Fairly new player having trouble finding opponents

Is it always like this? I had a blast last night when I could find tons of people to fight in ranked or unranked, but today I've spent like over 40 minutes clicking "quick match" and even longer hosting sessions waiting for someone to join. I've maybe had all of about 7 matches over the course of trying for like 3-4 hours.

Is this an xbox live problem associated with the holidays, me, or is there really only a few US gamers who play this regularly online? Cause I was amped last night, now I'm kinda disappointed.

It tends to be worse on the weekends in general.

Yep, I'm having the same problem. I've had one match in the last hour. I find it hard to believe that there are really no other players out there.

im playing on XBL and no one is on >_<

well, xbox live has been a mess lately... if anything thats where the problems should be attributed.

The menus have been slower than normal, we've been getting errors, been kicked out of games.. it's just not very stable.
