    top 4, in no order.

    Brazil,
    England,
    Argentina,
    France

For a dark horse this year ala Greece at Euro 2004, I'm looking at Sweden, as they really have some class players. Ibrahimovic for starters, and well...there is always Henrik Larsson.

Not looking forward to some of the early mis-matches though, England versus Trinidad and Tobago, and Togo versus France etc. Should be good stuff when it gets down to the last 16 though.

    My infallible predictions

Group A: 1st: Germany 2nd: Poland -- This is one of the easier groups to predict.

Group B: 1st: England 2nd: Sweden -- It's going to be pretty hard for england to screw this up, but even if they manage to lose, they won't be eliminated.

Group C: 1st: Argentina 2nd: Netherlands -- I can see why a lot of people are calling this the group of death (although I disagree). Argentina is looking to rebound from a disappointing first round exit in 2002, and Netherlands weren't even in the cup in 2002. Serbia and Montenegro allowed only 1 goal in all of qualifying, but their group was relatively weak and tied both games against the only other decent team, Spain. Ivory Coast could very easily play upset, but it's going to be difficult with this pot)

Group D: 1st: Mexico 2nd: Portugal -- Could go other way around, either way these two teams are advancing.

Group E: 1st: Italy 2nd: USA -- The real group of death. Every inch of my body is telling me not to pick Italy because I know they're going to choke and put the Czechs in instead, but hey, I'm half Italian, and the azzuri are always a credible threat. As for the USA, they're a highly underrated team and will undoubtedly make it out of this group 2nd, whether Italy is 1st or the Czechs are.

Group F: 1st: Brazil 2nd: Japan -- I feel bad for Croatia, they could play upset but I don't think so.

Group G: 1st: France 2nd: South Korea -- Easy group, France better not choke (well I want them to choke actually, but for the purposes of my predictions let's hope they don't)

Group H: 1st: Ukraine 2nd: Spain -- The weakest group by far.

Darkhorse teams: Serbia and Montenegro, Croatia. Sad to say but no African team is going to advance.

Not sure about anybody else but i think to win it would be out of Brazil, Italy,Holland, spain,Argentina,England and Germany. Thought u never know really, it's kinda surprising with the most popular sport in the world that it's not being broadcasted in the US. I know football isnt popular there but not broadcasting the world cup is the equivlent of not showing the olympics i think.

Portugal's going to defeat Mexico an take #1 spot for group D.
Mexico making a tie against Angola proves that they can't beat Portugal.
    Anyone can beat Iran

You can also watch them in Univision...even if you don't understand Spanish...you understand gooooolllll!!!!!
If U.S.A. beats Ghana, they can go to the second phase. The winner will be Brazil or Argentina...maybe Germany.
