I should be getting this game within the next 2 weeks. Further down the line, I should be getting high speed connection in my room. I was wondering how many people from here are going to get online with this one.

I have the demo, and it's nothing short of impressive. By far, the most realistic boxing game I've ever played. It's simple enough for your masher friends to play and have fun, but set up so that strategy and timing are extremely important. In fact, mashers may have fun, but they will get beat bad (unlike 95% of the past boxing titles). I played against my friend, and he got rope-a-doped /versus/images/graemlins/grin.gif. I sooo can't wait to get online. Socom 2, Madden, Fight Night, GT4, this summer will be a HUGE time waster for me /versus/images/graemlins/grin.gif.

I definatly plan on getting this game for the ps2 (no xbox otherwise I would get it on that most likely)...I don't have the broadband adapter for ps2, though...The control scheme sounds like the best out of any combat sports game.

So far I can attest to that. Unless they made any huge changes from the demo, that statement holds true. At first it takes some getting used to, but then it becomes almost like second nature. The only problem I'm having right now is to consistently throw right hooks; a right uppercutt will come out every now and then. Blocking is so intuitive; opponents will definitely have to set up the big punch. If you have good reflexes you will be able to block on sight. Thank goodness you can do feints and fakes.

Judging from the demo, the game has it's flaws; mainly the absence of clinching and weak enforcement of the rules. But hey, you've got to start somewhere, and this is a hell of a start.

I almost forgot to mention FFXI online. Man, I need to get to work and start saving. This will probably be biggest gaming summer since I bought secret of mana.

I''ve been following this game for a while now. I never expected EA to make a game with a revolutionary control scheme and by the looks of it' great depth balance as well.

Hope they can apply that philosophy to all their games.

Picked it up yesterday... excellent game. Finally, a boxing game with some strategy involved that doesn't have the words "victorious" or "boxers" in the title.

Small issues abound, but are happily overlooked. Get this game.
