Fighting Vipers 3

With the rumors circulating arounf FV3, has anyone else notced articles, including one from Yu Suzuki, refering to FV as the "weapons based cousin" to VF? Now, being that I live in America and didn't care enough to inport FV2, I can't really say that it isn't a weapons based fighter, but i know it wasn't weapons based in the first one. Did they totally changed the system in the sequal are am i right and all those articles are just wrong?

 

I hope to god that this is not the weapons based fighter he has been making allusions too.....

 

All rumors around about FV3 come from the 2channel affiliated VF4BBS. 2channel is something of noteriety amongst Japanese computer users, as it's basically a giant unmoderated BBS system of sorts. It is "Difficult for people who can't tell when a lie is a lie".

FV2 has some weapons but far from enough for the game to be considered a "weapons based fighter." Just shows how distanced Suzuki was from the team creating the game.

Finally, I asked about the rumored "weapons based fighter" while I was at AM2, and nobody knew what the heck I was talking about. I told them Suzuki mentioned it in EGM, and they said they had no idea. I have doubts that it even exists, much like Suzuki's revolutionary wine tasting title. XP

 

Couldn't it be Last Bronx 2? Last Bronx was weapon based, but I think it was AM3 though. Maybe they will try and do something original that will attract the masses. Can't imagine what that might be, any game set in the past would seem to rip off SC. I guess that leaves the future.... Oh well who knows
