Final Fantasy XI for Windows (10.28.03)

What server is everyone on? I saw that Shang was on Pandemonium. I'm on Ifrit myself. Trying to get used to no PvP but I'm still enjoying myself.

 

Ragnaraok is the server I'm on... we have so many people here (esp Japanese players from the very beginning) that they are wanting players to transfer out.

But, I still buy worldpasses for friends, lol.

Ive just started this game on the PS2, and I think it's really fucking cool. There is an insane ammount of things to do. I'm on the Bismarck server (with a couple homies), if anyone wants to come in.

Anyone else just starting from the PS2 release? I know a lot of people are into Lineage now, too. This game is killing any VF practice outside of gatherings for me...

I don't know about FFXI, but as far as Lineage is concerned, it's pretty much a life transformer; once you find fun out of the game, you won't even have time to say goodbye to VF. Addictive as nothing else.

 

If my computer could possibly run lineage I'd be all over it...

 

Pretty much if you get into a mmorpg, you won't have time for vf, gf, family or work. It will suck your life away like nothing you have experienced.
Anyways, as far as FFXI, i played for about a month got to level47 with a war and pld and lost interests. it's a great game, but just don't have the time for it. O, Lineage II open beta starts today, you can download the game for free and play it for a month for free. It uses unreal engine so the graphics is pretty good.

then download l2preludesetup.exe, 1.2gb. this is the game itself, then you can play. I the graphics is good. the darkelves female is porn material.

i've been meaning to ask this for a long time, why is there such a huge emphasis on FF character looking all hot. im ok w/the females /versus/images/graemlins/smile.gif believe me!, but males in FF games in general are downright strict metrosexuals /versus/images/graemlins/blush.gif? pour-quoi /versus/images/graemlins/laugh.gif
Im not saying i'd rather have ugly males in a mmorphgh (i know i didn't spell that right so don't flame me /versus/images/graemlins/tongue.gif), but they shouldn't exactly look like gays.

Because most gamers are males. males neither likes girls or are gay. Hence pretty girls and metrosexual guys. Are you sure about the handcapped part? You know you are probably the latter... 1, you have a ryu avatar on a vf site, and 2 you are into akira too much; it's a sign of inner self-insecurity.

Hey Shang since you own the game I wanted to know if all classes are available at the beginning of the game. Like the ninja class. Or do they become available later on? Just wondering because I am going to buy this game for the ps2.

 

Ninja is an advance class. You start the game as one of the basic classes, and once you reach a certain level you can do a quest to get one of the advance classes. You'll find out all about it in the instruction book once you get it.

p.s, I'm planning to get back into this game as well, but probably will wait for summer.

Just a warning to everyone, the PS2 version graphics are a LOT worse than what a good PC can handle. On the PS2, it almost looks like PS1, or gameboy advance !!

I returned my ps2 version the next day. I was hoping to be able to have friends play on PS2 while I'm on PC, but i wont insult them like that /versus/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Too bad you can adjust resolution on PS2 ver.

Btw i'm lev 60 now, BLM, got all my Artifact armor /versus/images/graemlins/laugh.gif
