1. Hey Guest, looking for Virtua Fighter 5: Ultimate Showdown content? Rest assured that the game is identical to Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown so all current resources on here such as Command Lists with frame data, Combo Lists and the Wiki still apply. However, you can expect some VF5US specific changes to come soon!

Now that VF Final Showdown is about to be released for consoles, do you have any idea if SEGA or any other company will release a guide, or even better, an artbook about the game?

if you have internet access and a printer then you can make your own guide. look all over the internet for vf5 fs info. print some pages out and staple it together and you got a small ghetto guide, lol.

Actually laughed at this. Great tip...

I'd stick to information sites such as this one and read up on all the new FS info in the guide-section. What you probably need on paper, if anything, might be frame data and maybe combo-lists for quick reference. Other than that I think the strategies and tips you can get on here a week after the game is out will be just as good as some printed guide.

Thanx for the answers guys. Actually I'm more interested in artbooks rather than guides. The problem is that I have not been able to find anything, unlike with other games such as Tekken. Actually, I'm making my own artbook with high res pics I've found on the internet, like a charater dossier, with images and basic data. BTW, do you know where can I find a full-body pic of Dural in High res?

    Agreed.

But whatever happened to those pages on here that showed a VF arena like a "grid" with arrows and diagrams, with the spacing all mapped out? And actually showed how the VF characters moved in-and-out of the fighting stages within the game itself. It use to be on VFDC before i don't know some changes over the years seem to have gotten rid of it somehow, but i swear there use to be a page where all of this was ironed out.

But true, best thing to do for VF fans would be to kinda *kitbash* your own book together with the necessary info and VF artwork. That would be a most creative endeavor i think to share amongst the VF community in the near future in regards to VF5:FS and the VF series anyhow!

The VF5FS Masters Guide has complete frame data, but was released prior to Ver.A where further changes were made to frame data.

You can find the latest VF5FS frame data, including Ver.A changes known, right here on VFDC.

wingchun_warrior, do you know if it will be a guide, an artbook or a combination of both? I don't want to buy a 300 page book with just screenshots and controls info. Actually, after much browsing the only good artbooks I think I've found about this series are these:

This is a preview in low res of the little artbook about the VF5 and VF5 showdown characters that I'm designing in Photoshop. I'm using the few art that can be found on the Internet in good resolution for printing, combined with basic information. I don't want to make a guide, just a presentation of the characters with a good looking result overall.

Mmh those images are SEGA's. I don't think someone can earn money using them.

@Stormrider: The book looks nice. What are you planning to put inside?

Stormrider your work for a VF5:FS book is incredible it should go without saying but i really feel those who show off such incredible things ought to be definitely congratulated for them!

Hope you'll include; frame data and the VF move list for presentation in regards to the character changes and all other new elements (character designs, artwork, merchandise) in your FS book anyhow.
