Final Tuned Release Date

Hello all,

I just got back from playing Evo at a local arcade. There's a sign on the Evo machines that state FT is scheduled to come in on 7/16 (Fri). This is the first I've seen of any specific date as other places I play at just say "coming this summer."

Hopefully the "confirmed" date will make more people play. The scene has died down here and usually the only good time to play on weekends only. But, you gotta love those Evo sessions until 4am... especially when it's in the arcade on an arcade machine... with VF.net /versus/images/graemlins/wink.gif

where do you play? id love to participate in some all night vf.

generally, japanese arcades are required by law to shut down at midnight (although i know a couple of arcades in kyoto that stay open all night as they are coupled with batting cages) so by the time i get off work all the arcades and trains are closed. ()

I'm traveling with my girlfriend, however, so VF playing opportunities may have to be selective. Can't wait to play FT!!

Anybody in VFDC still in those two cities?

I just saw the same sign plastered throughout my local Sega arcade today. Screw Thursday after work, I'll be there at lunch time _and_ after work! /versus/images/graemlins/wink.gif

This time I hope they don't take forever to install the game. When this particular sega first put in VF4, it took them all night to get it working. Then the place closed 15 mins after that.

I play in Okinawa. Most of franchise style arcades (ie Sega) close at midnight, but there are a few "hole-in-the-wall" places that stay open until people feel like leaving. Back when Tekken Tag was the main game, my friend and about 10 people stayed up until 6am playing. When my friend and I left, there were still people playing. That was cool.

I suspect when FT comes out in a few days, those Saturday night to late Sunday morning runs will be common place for a little while.
