So...with options like those, why does Aoi's 270 throw look the way it does?

 

You mean the Kiri'e Otoshi or the Chougarami?

 

I mean the stationary wrist-lock followed by the slow, awkward stumble around Aoi (complete with the sound effects of each uneven footfall) whose ungainliness is only slightly obscured by a more dynamic camera angle in FT.

 

I'd highly doubt that - although purely demonstrational footage you can't discount the actual use of a style just because you watch MMA.

P.S That's a whole different can of worms so let's not get into it.

 

Some of the techs the bearded guy used would make for some bad ass reversals.
