How can you guys tell when and how much of a frame advantage you have?! I mean during battle, I really don't have the time or the "eye speed" to catch how many frames ahead my character is...

    General rule:
    1) If you blocked an attack, you have the advantage.
    2) If you got hit by an attack, your opponent has the advantage.

There are exceptions to both the above, and the frame advantages in the movelist point this out. It's more important to know about these exceptions, and they're easy to find in the movelist. If you're unsure, follow the rule above, but as your skill level advances, you'll learn which attacks are special and start reacting accordingly without even thinking about it.

Also, when you block some attacks, you have such a huge advantage that you can use much more rewarding counter attacks. It's good to know about these cases as well if you want to make your play more efficient.
