gatherings in NYC

i keep reading threads about gatherings everywhere but nyc theres tons of VF players here and never any talk of gatherings whats up wit that!!!!!!!!!!

 

Because the subway sucks, is cold, NYCLAN is dead(I think) Web2Zone is fruity, Cribs to tight, XBOXLIVE, and no VF arcade in NY. I find it funny I have to go to SoCal to meet some of these fools, lol. Anyway, there's a NY thread already(Xao Pao...Something like that, can't copy and paste on the P3 browser) And when things warm up, things might change. A matter a fact, You do a gathering, we could get the chicken heads from your block to strip, lol.

Yeah I've been wishing for a gathering for a while now. There are so many players in New York. Hopefully something will come up soon.

 

Well, I tried to get people together late December at Web2Zone when tonyfamilia was in town and only one person showed. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/mad.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/frown.gif

I could plan to rent a studio for a day like I did for the Farewell Tourney. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/whistle.gif

I couldn't work something this month, maybe sometime in April. I would need a definite headcount before committing to plan though.

 

I was asking denkai about this earlier as well. If there is ever a gathering I'll try my best to attend. I plan on playing the NYC crew in person.

Players from Japan and the U.K. gathered in Chinatown and threw down! Damn I wished that I had known about VFDC back then, I woulda totally came to this thing.
Yes, that is Kyasao playing with Jeffry and the elusive SuddenDeath (I finally saw a vid of this guy playing).

This vid might be old to a lot of you vets but it's new to me and I know a lot of people here who have never seen it will appreciate the amount of players that showed up to NY from so far away and the skill level in the fights.

Can somebody please post the names of all the players that showed up for this?

Yeah, that gathering looked like a lot of fun. I really hope that a NYC gathering will happen. I plan on going there regardless to play some of you offline.

 

That gathering was off the hook!! I was there and I still have that awesome t-shirt. I don't think I saw myself in the vid though. From what I remember Konjou, Rodney, Sudden_Death, AdamYuki, HammerHead(?), KungfuSmurf, Cappo, Lonelyfighter, SuperGolden, Namflow(?), SHU, Shinjuku Jacky?, Kyasao, Lupin from Famitsu, Jerky, Hiro, Shadowdean, and a lot more. Can't remember right now.

The JE vs JE matches at the end were Kyasao[1P] and Sudden Death[2P].

 

Are there any NYC gatherings planned for the summer? I have 2 friends interested in joining one.
