GG players

Did anyone pick up Accent Core? I was thinking about it, but wanted to know the differences between this and Slash. I have GGX2, been playing that since I don't have a chipped pstwo.

 

The community seems split on which they like most. Right now AC is the tournament game of the series though. I like it more than the others, but I don't take GG too seriously either. For a lot more info, check out http://www.dustloop.com

EDIT: Oh and if you do decide to get into it, you have some real good player up in Chicago and neighboring cities.

 

I bought Accent Core.

I hear NYC finally has a dedicated GG:AC cab at CF. I'm going to check it out next week.

 

Do you know that Accent Core was released domestically last month?

KOFXI is making a stateside release too, should be out real soon if not it came out this week.

Technically, XI is out. It's just that the shipping has been kinda limited for some reason. Few stores have gotten it. Mine was supposed to get it this week, but nothing yet.

Well, I don't know whether Slash or AC is more balanced, but AC had quite alot of changes to the entire game altogether, not just characters.

 

I play GG and here at my college we have some of the best GG players in the country from what they've taught me it's the most balanced fighter out there. I still say VF is more balanced, so I guess they mean it's the best 2D fighter. It's a very hard game I find it harder than vf due to the speed you have to input commands and there is just so much more you have to do to learn a character timing wise than in VF. But mainly the speed is just too fast for me. What's funny is that they say the same thing about vf. I've been trying to convert them for months but failing. One day I'll get them.

 

See, that's just the way it is. 2D fighter are great, but they are completely different games from 3D fighters (except for the "fighter" part ). I have tried to play SFA3, GGXX and SF3 in the pasy, and thought I finally know something, when I actually knew shit. I sucked! Only in KOF was I able to be a little better...

Thing is that Street Fighter 3rd strike I can play. Granted I'm not the best but I'm between intermediate and advanced at it. But it's a slower paced game, though still a lot faster than VF input wise. I love 2D fighters wish I was better at them.

 

I don't have a ps2 for GG:AC myself (-grrrrr-), but i recently found that using my Hori for ol' GG:Reload works like a charm.

Now if I could only find someone online 2 play with... (having SERIOUS problems in this department -grrrrr squared-)

The game is awesome man I love it I am major dizzy player but I am not the greatest. I know about basics of "tk" moves and it is great when doing her bubble. I wish I could play better people to really learn to really play her better for real playing the game on maniac isn't enough.
