Kojima and he's staff out did themselves with this Metal Gear, bravo I say. I'm in Act 3 right now(Yes, I haven't slept) And the way Act 2 ended was one of the best things I've experience in a video game. The auto camo is the truth, the money system is the shit, and the fan-service is on BLAST! Let me know were ya at to discuss.

Yo, act 3 is where it all goes off!! That is by far my favorite act. The gameplay even shifts there. It plays nothing like the first two chapters. I finished the game last night. I played it from beginning to end the day it came out. The game is hands down the best I've ever played. I even shed a tear at the end..XD

Myke, I don't think the MMA thing is analogous because MGS is one game being discussed on a site where everyone likes games. It would be analogous to random MMA bashing if Nardone wrote "Videogames are stupid. Go outside, losers."

For me and maybe others, MGS has been troublesome because we love games and it pains us to see such production values being lavished on a game with a, um, unique level of actual interactivity.

That said, I still bought the game today. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif I had to see it and I am tired of using my PS3 for BluRays only.

^I guess you watch more cutscenes than other games with MGS, but you still play more than you view cutscenes in ANY of the four MGSs, including Twin Snakes.

I think it's also important to note that this time around, you're not stuck with an MK22 at the start of the game. As far as gun inventory goes, you start off well equipped /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif

Fuck it. At the risk of being called a cockblocker here (for the record it has not yet been proven that Kristina is actually a girl and if you believe any "proof" that she puts up over the internet... just please, let's not go there):

HappyFriend, you and I and probably most people here, know that if this user's name would have been, umm let's say, Fightgamefan and had she not been claiming to be a girl, you would not be defending her actions so avidly.

The possibility that Kristina MIGHT be a chick is the only reason that we are still on the MGS4 thread arguing about wether she is a troll or not.
The proof that she is a troll isn't just obvious, it's mothafucking obvious!
So, for all of you that keep coming to Kristina's defense just because she MIGHT be a girl, PLEASE notice one thing: all that she has done to this thread is managed to take the focus off of MGS and tried to put it on her and her fucking opinion.

All of these people got called out for what they were (sadly, some of them still are /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/frown.gif ) TROLLS.
But now, all of a sudden, oh, it's not a TROLL because "if I come to her aid and help her out, maybe I can get something out of this person claiming to be a girl on VFDC" =/

I came to Kristina's defense once, on the shoutbox, she wasn't even online (iirc) so I wasn't trying to get brownie points.
I was pointing out to KtotheG that creating a thread about what gender she might be was not right, imo.
Now, if somebody would have created a thread titled "Kristina, is she a troll?" I would not have said anything because it wouldn't have been about his/her gender. None of us got questioned about our gender, why should she get questioned about his/hers?
If a member claims to be a female, fuck it, I'll call that member a female until I find out otherwise... but it doesn't mean I fully believe that it's girl on the other side of this computer /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smirk.gif
I still stand by my opinion even though I can't stand how this person gets on threads just to put her ten negative cents in.

Dude, you assume too much. I have bitched about MGS forever, in much harsher language than she used. If she is near banning for her offenses then I should have been gone a long time ago. I have actually toned it down in these posts.

You are freaking yourself out and expending much more energy than is necessary to defend a game, and attack said game's detractors. The game's gonna sell a billion copies whether you promote or defend it or not. I even picked up a copy today and the series annoys me in some serious ways.

And as for Kristina, I don't care about her gender. I am not going to waste energy thinking about it. I have a woman and if you knew me and her you would laugh at any insinuation that I am try to curry favor with a VF chick who may or may not be a chick according to you guys.

How do you know that I choose to ignore anything? I have not seen the threads where she is alleged to have trolled. She may have or may not have. Why assume that one guy on a site has read every other thread on the site?

So... MGS4, how's everyone enjoying it so far?

It's too immense, I haven't been able to stop playing it, haha. Not sure what chapter i'm at but I just fought the 3rd of the Beauty and the Beast unit Crying Wolf. I really like these bosses, the character design on them is awesome and when drebin explains how they become what they are, it's actually quite sad /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/frown.gif

The end of the act in Europe was pretty fucked up, i'll not say anything about it but those who have got that far will know what I mean....

Oh and to those people that were saying it's not as much about Stealth as the previous games. You're right about this if you are playing on the easier difficulty setting but on the harder difficulties it's very difficult to just shoot your way through.

I'm playing on Big Boss Hard and I frequently have to use the Mk.II/Mk.III to scout for enemy positions before I sneak in and knock the enemy unconscious... You also get more Drebin points for not being spotted and for taking out enemies without lethal force ( Figure out how to do this on each member of the Beauty and the Beast unit and you'll unlock some cool stuff /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif ), so stealth is still the best approach to take, imo.

You chosse how you want to play the game. You don't have to engaged in combat when the PMC's are fighting the Rebels, you could work yourself around without being spotted. Is about Stealth in the Battlefield. Or Mayhem, lol. Act 3(The way it ended)was nuts! Even the beginning caught me off guard. But fans are in for treat when Act 4 starts! This game is good.

This game is the ULTIMATE: its the only thing that could get GTA4 out of my drive. If Kristina stopped at saying MGS is overrated, it would be fine, but she had to go too far and IGNORANTLY claim it's a game for ps3 fanboys. She should be cockwhipped for that.

Metal Gear was originally a Nintendo game, twit. In the past twenty years it's graced Gamecube, Xbox and PS2, and even gameboy.

I almost got my copy signed by Kojima on release night, my group was the next in que, but because of poor crowd control he left. Im nowhere in single player, just past the Meryl part.
