1. Hey Guest, looking for Virtua Fighter 5: Ultimate Showdown content? Rest assured that the game is identical to Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown so all current resources on here such as Command Lists with frame data, Combo Lists and the Wiki still apply. Going higher than 'Master' rank - Quick Question

Does anyone know how you gain (and lose) rank points when at 'Master' rank (or higher)? I can't quite work out what I'm supposed to be doing after dan grades...

It might be already written somewhere on this forum but I can't find it if it is.

    Thanks.

    EDIT:
I've found out that you must beat the lower 10th dan opponents while at Master rank. You have to beat 5 in a row, but if you lose on one, you go back to 10th dan. However, at 10th dan you only have to beat one Master to get their rank (promotion for you, demotion for them). I'm not sure if this is exactly the method but thats how it happened for me. I'm not completely sure though as I beat all 5 10th dans in a row with my Wolf (I also play on Hard - I dunno if that cahnges anything).

I am now a Warrior - how does the ranking system work while at this rank? Is it similar to before where you gain or lose bits of your rank bar while fighting similar ranked opponents?

I think someone needs to make it clear exactly how to level up or down at each rank. If someone already has done this, I'm sorry but I can't find it.

Re: Going higher than 'Master' rank - Quick Questi

Whiteworm's post on Quest Mode tips section: <div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Quote:</div><div class="ubbcode-body"> Not really. VF5 works on a progress bar to show how close you are to ranking (thank you SEGA!). Usually, you can gain xp from several different ranks, but I have noticed that beating your same rank gives you more xp. The exception to this is Master rank, where beating 10th dans gives you a ton of xp (you only need to beat 5), but if you lose to a 10th dan once, you are demoted back to 10th dan. </div></div>

I read this post, and it says that Master is the only exception. So would that mean that Warrior rank is nback to normal - ie, beat same rank for more rank points?
