Ggs to everyone. Dennis I wanna thank you though. I felt pretty lazy playing vf that night but you made me turn the heat on soon enough! It's always a pleasure playing you man. In order to win, I had to stop doing stupid things.

Pinetree through our long set, I had time to analyze some things you could improve upon. One of the things was you never really defended yourself well. At your disadvantage after I pk you or if I interrupt one of your flowcharts with an attack, you would just hold guard for extended periods of time. In my opinion, Standing guard is the worst way to defend yourself, because of the threat of 0f throws or sweeps. Try to find spots so you can practice fuzzying or evading more.

HappyFriend's JE: We had 7 matches, the first of which I saved. I didn't see any problems of you backdashing like soo many people have been complaining about and such, you were fine. I loved our mirror matches, I was starting to slip in the last match or two for some reason lol, Hope we can play again in the near future.

QueenofCarnage's VA: It's amazing how much better you've gotten compared to the last time we fought! Great mix-ups of your throws and you were a lot more trickier this time around. Thanks for being patient while I saved replays, because I saved a lot lol so that was a long wait, thanks for sticking around hope to play you again.

Dennis0201's LI: Well, never knew you played ak and this is even a bigger surprise to me lol. It's not the best Li online but well, it's better then most I've played. You were throwing en-masse it was crazy lol and them damn sweeps, but worst of all lion's voice was starting to piss me off. I only won like a couple matches at most sadly, I just didn't have the fire in my after getting raped by Flash.

Flash's WO: This was quite an honor for me to play his wolf for the first time and I was pumped. I wanted to do some mirror matches with my new wolf at first and joined and he was 2 bars, not that it felt like it sadly. This is where the wolf said "I'm the best there's ever been" quote and it came right out of Flash's muffled mask. This was the biggest rape I've ever endured in a long time, I didn't win a single match. He never missed one PGS, He had a high connecting rate of his half circ strike into burning hammer and suplex, Shining wizards left and right, ridiculous stagger opportunities taken in full advantage and the list goes on. Basically to summarize things he 10-0 my wolf and 20-0 my Jeffrey. In the last match with Jeffrey I gave it all that I had and I almost got the match by a damn slither! All in all this is the best wolf I've ever foughten besides Brisal and thanks for spending the time playing with me. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

Matteo's JE: Caught you just in time when you woke up! I enjoyed our mirror matches, you living around the UK and all makes it for a laggy show but still it was fun. I liked how whenever one of us won it had to be a 3-0 most of the time there was no in-between, I mean there was the occasional 3-2's but mostly just 3-0s. You got your knee combos in pretty well lol, always nice playing with you, especially since your one of my real friends around here.

Sorry for any dmpk's I might have thrown at yall, I was trying to do the shoulder ram. I was probably more upset than yall when that came out instead lol. I'd take that thing off my move list if I could. At least you can escape Wolf's, but everyone elses is like instant hit (afaik).

Hit me up whenever, i'm still trying to learn the strings of these characters. I never know what move is/can come out next for any character cept Akira lol.

Good games to Kamais. I love JE vs. JE matches. The only thing I don't like is what a fat ass he is and how that maens punier floats. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif Sorry I was a wanker and saved the last replay, but like I said, I hardly have any new replays with Jeff and that one had a funny finish.

Dennis, thx for Lau v Lau. You have good fundamentals, so you are good with whatever character you pick. It's funny but when I fight Lau, I always remember how much I hate having to guess between the ppp finishers.

Oh, And Raptor Wong, who has a lot of patience and persistence. Keep playing! You are already improving.

I don't really know the proper way to use Lau but I do know he is one of the best characters!! Except Lau, there is no one who owns both speed and huge ability for attack! (Unless Shun has 10 drinks)
Too bad BetaBow already quit and he told me he probably won't play VF anymore until R hits the console. Otherwise, you should play with him as much as you can~~

 

GGs Kamais,
I hope you could tell which point you need to improve, such as the distance calculation. And you rely on certain moves too much! Once you found that didn't work, you should change a little bit to adapt to yout opponent. Otherwise, you just like play your own Jeffry without observing.

Don't feel upset and don't expet what the result looks like when you play with some players who are far above you. Flash is one of the best player here and all you need to do is to realize how much you can learn from his matches.

 

Yeah your right I was being way too greedy with some moves such as the headbutt. Also I'm not upset, I don't mind losing 20-0 or losing to you the way I did, just playing you guys is all I care about. Also I don't want to make any excuses but I'm at my mom's house and I play composite on her hdtv so there is input lag that really takes away my timing, at my own house I play on a crt t.v. so theres no input lag therefore what I really am, gg's again Dennis and don't hold back at all, kill me!

 

GGs to Methylidene and Marlyjay. Sorry the matches were cut short, Marly. Had to go to the cashpoint.

 

Kamais, I really think that Jeff is like the great exaggerator. When you have a slight edge in timing and/or yomi vs. someone, Jeff turns those games into routes.

However, for me at least, he is very hard to use when you are overmatched skill/exp wise or against a char you don't know well (for me Lei, Shun, Brad, and Monkey girl are worst). If you don't know when to interrupt, JE is hard to win with.

Kamais, you occasionally post some objectionable stuff, but I appreciate your enthusiasm and your approach to the game and the fact that you play Jeff who is maybe the most pure character in VF5.

 

Thats exactly the same way I feel! Certain characters give me more trouble then others, but I think in general if someone's got a lot more skill/exp they will always get the best of you. My apologies to both of you for my crappy ass gameplay. My stick decided it wanted to do its own thing and just randomly start doing shit that Im not doing. very fucking annoying. Until i get a new stick im going to take a small break from playing this game because its too hard to actually do anything in this game with a broken arcade stick.

 

ggs to vfumbers. That was a blast. 3 hours or something like that. Lol, that is my new longest set ever. It was nice to finally play u again. Glad u got back online. Your defense was nice. I know u've worked a lot on that, and i have to say it showed. Makes me want to keep practicing my D. Not only does excellent defense make u better, it makes u more fun to play against. Look forward to doing it again sometime. Your offense is very good too. You have a lot of pauses and well time stance changes that really broke down my attempts at good defense. Being somewhat new to the defensive side of play, my patience and comfort level of guarding only lasts about as long as a crouch fuzzy gaurd /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif Or 2 stance changes followed by whatever u want to do lol.

 

Number's defense pisses me off. He's too good at it /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif This goes beyond taking advantage of Lei's stances, but actually blocking incoming attacks properly.

But offensively, his Lei is so different from any other Lei out there that it's always refreshing to square off against him.
