what is this?! As soon as I am offline it looks like online has picked up. Man I rather play vf then be moving. And MasaRED is back!!! crap I miss playing my buddy! these next few weeks need to fly by. I guess I will start working on my new character in the mean time.

NUBBERS! Listen to me maaaaaaan. The first 4 games you brought it! You were doing cancels into throws (Very Cozby-esque, made me miss ol boys Lei) hitting backstaggers when I tech rolled (I really gotta get somebody to
help me out with Jeff setups for that stuff) and even taking advantage of your
advantage when you had it. Here's when the bad stuff happens:

1. You stood in front of me again. Don't do it! I liberally throw out low throws
and high throws which is really stupid since you can hit me with something
big after every miss. BUT you DIDN'T! It's like you were just trying to survive
my onslaught rather than counter. No box step, no nothing.

2. You started swinging at thin air. I thought you were baiting me but some of
the sequences you completed and you were nowhere near me. People that play
me know I love to mid kick all mistakes and play Oki wars. (DrFamilia hats off
to you in that regard, our Brad/Jeff fight really showed your observation skills)
Shit you should know this by now too

3. You started low punching excessively, now I'm not knocking 2p. (Lord I
do it all the time) but Jeffs got a nice long low punch. Lei has MUCH better
tools than low punch that can serve the same function. 2p throw/knee wars
vs Jeff?

4. I think, that is I THINK you overestimate my reaction time/knowledge of Lei. Don't be afraid to keep nailing me with something simple if it's working.
I'm talking, p,p,p strings even. Whipping them out from time to time does not make you a bad person. I can guarantee you'll get some distance with it
on me.

DrFamilia, sorry about the dipping but 35 or so games I played with Nubbers is way past my normal gaming threshold lol. By the time you got on I just couldn't switch gears. You did exactly the opposite of what Nubbers was
doing, fucking reckless abandon with Lau. Nice, I'll have to fight your Lau
again sometime. I haven't played against a Lau since Happy Friend and he
stopped playing me back in like October of last year lol. Shit I haven't played
against Brad since Blahzie either. I just lucked out a lil because my boy plays
Brad.

So I'm ready for the pain.

Frankly all I see nowadays are: Jacky, Goh, Akira, Shun, Aois, Blazes, with some Jeff, Sarah, Blazes, Wolfs and Leis thrown in. Almost like Brads, Kages, Lions (I like that though) and especially Laus are hard to come by.

Eileen must be the least played character on live.

 

thanks TWP for analysis yes ur right about the mid k from mid range with jeffry i remember at least 10 times i went to koko stance to sabaki his 3k and it backfires since u expected it and move out of my attack range But the oki with jeffry is what really killed me 3k+g, k+g, throw, low throw, down attack. I believe its just best for me to just stay down eat the down attack and not deal with that scenario because when i got up whether inplace or side recovery im thinking guard, low guard, or evade after side recovery or abare 2p really just backfires often when i hesitated Another thing is i have this weird tendency of not using a light down attack often when i know they wont tech LOL Failed oki syndrome

Worst P, I never stopped playing you. I just haven't seen you online forever. The only guys I generally avoid are good Shun players.

 

Fair play, I overanalyze things sometimes. Our schedules probably didn't mesh often and I took a long break and you left the country or somethin.

 

I was in China for two and a half months. I haven't begun a worst player boycott...yet.

 

Me neither. I hear he's a real douche though.

TWP, it was awesome to finally play you. You get abare too sometimes but I know that you were just applying online yomi where sometimes you HAVE to commit to attacks blindly just to not get thrown. I was being abare at first but only cuz old habits are hard to break XD You made me feel kinda bad during our second session cuz I was stomping you but you weren't stomping me. I gotta admit, I had fun stomping after the k.o.
Only thing is that when I stomp it's not like your stomping. It's not that "I'm just having fun" stomping. My stomping is the "Go to sleep bitch!" stomp or "Die! Die! Die!" stomp or the "Fuck yo couch nigga!" kind of stomp. I be grinding them shits

VFnumbers, again, very fun.

Geewaiho! Finally got to play you and it was all that and a bag of Chips Ahoy. Damn, I had fun. I wish I coulda saved all of our matches just to watch your epic comebacks, series and setups. Best Pai I have ever played. Can't thank you enough. Even our connect was pretty damn good considering.

AssassinCP, wish I coulda played you more but I had Goh and I suck with him. By the time I came back with my boy, you was gone.

Lobo Aura, this guy is a good player. Don't let the lag fool you. He fights out of Mexico but he's no Templario. First of all, he doesn't pull or rage quit and secondly he actually has skills. He has a tendency to abare a lot but if you punish him enough he will adapt. Buenos juegos, amigo. Nos veremos de nuevo en batalla.

Manjimaru, finally got to play your Sarah. Like I said, I'm a fan and I wish I could play you offline or at least with a better connect but I'll settle for a few laggy matches

Chief Flash! So glad to finally play you again. Long time no play. I didn't think that you could get stronger but you have. You're totally right about the series and flowcharts thing. You're mostly freestyling it now. And a badass freestyle it is.

lemme atchu for a minute...

i like how you play. sometimes when you get into your offensive groove, its hard for me to cut in and take advantage. often though, you get too caught up in that groove that you lose control of your moves and get "MC Hammered" ! try to slow the game down a little bit and you'll see that there are far better options to pick between certain disadvantages. don't worry though bro. this is just a phase you're going through. i went through this "i'll attack til i hit you" phase and it took me awhile to understand why shit wasn't working! you play both lau and brad with the same style, so when you switched to lau for our second session, i sorta knew what to expect. though i must admit, your lau is trickier than your brad.

basically, expand your mind a lil bit more. use ALL of brad's/lau's moves list. the more i see different shit, the less i understand your flow, which in turn, makes it harder for me to guess as i become even more alert. stay true to yourself, but maintain confidence with defense! defense will only make your offense stronger. also, don't stop moving! freezing makes me salivate. pay attention not only to your movements, but to your opponents movements as well. mix up BOTH offense AND defense! yes i said defense also. learn what your opponent does during certain defensive situations. if you attack and get blocked at -5 and you fuzzy, but your opponent delays throw? next time you encounter that situation, you can A) stay down when you fuzzy, B) do anti-clash attacks, C) sweep, ETC!!! ya dig??!?

CarolinaPanther's AO: Also 1 match in ranked, sorry though man I sent smiley face after the 3-0 but it might have came across as being a jerk, we're friends though so I was just trying to joke around with you, i'll make it up with you with player matches

BeligerentFeck's AK: Finally after testing our connection again it was now playable! Very nice akira, you don't do fancy ish like SPoD's and stuff very often, your just a straight up hardcore no BS akira. Very fun games, sorry though lots of missed bounces as with my other matches, getting used to stick gonna take some months, I also saved a replay if that's ok with you.

 

Hah, its all good bro. My boys were watching me get stomped and were like GODDAMN he's stompin your ass. I was all "yah no homo but I think I'm in love!". Serious the stomping is the only reason why I kept pressing fight again despite being tired as shit and having to go teach. Glad I didn't get that second wind or my students would have been pissssssed.

I don't know why but the mic icon keep showing up when I play in ranked/player before the matches begin.

But my mic is broken, and I don't have another mic, so it must be wrong with my stick code or something. So just ignore the mic icon when you play me, I can't talk/hear anything.

what GREAT advice that everyone can benefit from. Really. I wish I wasn't so blunt when I say something to people sometimes cause It can come off harsh. I am just not tolerant enough to explain myself in the way that you do Flash.

 

Good advice, although I thought I'd butt in and say that if opponent delays throw in response to your fuzzy, you can just expand your balls a bit and just use your biggest launcher in same -5 situation next time

The game gets really fun once you start to really play the mindgame. (although if you only ever play same people like I tend to do, the gameplay gets pretty far from the 'basics'. And it can be bad in gatherings where you meet new players..)
