GGs to AirJacky. Some nice couple of matches. Considering the lag so natural for intercontinental matches, we both did fairly well.

GGs to Seidon. More throws plz [IMG].

I'm not much of one to give advice, since i don't play but once or twice a month for 30 mins a pop. but have you ever messed around with goh? Seems like he would fit your defense first playstyle quite nicely.

ggs smb been a while since we last played, my reaction was really off at times. Many other players suggested i use goh as well but i just try a little bit then stop.

ggs to paper lion. you beat up my akira. bad. i was glad my pai was more competitive.

ggs to jb. social ruin, i hate your jacky more than life itself [IMG] but in all honesty, taking my akira out for some live firing practice vs. other comp made me realize how much further away i am than even i thot. (still, nice work with jacky and others. steps are getting better all the time, and your TEs are on point. and on top of both of those, you've finally started making [G] the first line of your defense, which is what you always lacked before.)

and speaking of how far away i am from being even mediocre with akira....
    an extra special ggs to:

All you akira players out there. When you lose to him, it looks like it took so little effort. But to win with him, sheesh.

ggs bro, i think your tv does have some lag. Just based on some of the trends that go on. But that being said, u are settling in to akira slowly but surely. Reminds me a lot of my long slog thru getting decent with goh.

ggs xXrodnutzXx. Ur akira is too hot to handle. Nothing but props for how quickly u dissect my adjustments. I'll think i have figured something out and then i get to use it once on you. It gets to the point that if i see something that can use, i won't do it unless i am up in the match, or if i'm up in the match, i'll wait til i'm ahead in the given round, cause i know i can only use it once, so i have to make it count. It took me forever to get my p/elbow 236 p+k sabaki to come out. Just has a surprisingly different timing from the 236 fireball for ssfIV. Thanks for the whipping. BTW, holy crap, u smashed my jacky. 16 straight and i had to tap out [IMG] but i'll be back.

GG's man! You Jacky is on the right path you just need to tighten up the offense. It seems like you second guess quite a bit when in a pinch and unlike some characters that doesn't work for Jacky. For example there were many times when you crumpled me with the shuffle step option he has where he goes up or down and into elbow with the special high P follow up. Normally I don't switch against this move, but I was trying some this and I kept getting caught by the special high P. You must have crumpled me with this move like 10+ times and only once I recall you doing a combo after it and even then it wasn't a very strong combo. I think if you tighten things up and just be more confident in what you know and get those combos you will see you can easily handle my Akira with Jacky. Luckily me for though I have tons of experience against Jacky thanks to Denkai and Yosuke. If you want to beat me with Jacky it's like I said, just punish me with 33P... that move fucking owns me because of my bad habit of over using standing P. Denkai makes short work of me because of this terrible habit. Tonifamalia was also good at punishing me for it, but I don't think he ever realized that it was a major weakness on my part and lol well I wasn't going to tell him that.

In response to these lines <div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Quote:</div><div class="ubbcode-body"> I'll think i have figured something out and then i get to use it once on you. I don't think it's wrong to use something that you have figured out over and over. However, I think you should try to be mindful that your opponent is aware of his own weaknesses and use it up to the point where your opponent doesn't feel like you are on too one of his bad habits.

Good games to all the people I faced the last few days they were all great fights but special mention goes to manaknight and air jacky. Manaknight's goh gets better every time I face him, it won't be long until I have to rework my whole game just to stay even with him great training. I hadn't played Air Jacky in many months and it was great to play against his excellent jacky, I saw the improvement in my game as well last time I saw him I was embarrassed by him.

I might just do that since I never fought you and I am curious to know how good you are. I have free time the next couple days I might just give it a shot.

It's been some time since we last played, so it's difficult for me to now recall the specifics of our matches. But I can tell you so much: it was never easy; it may have looked like it was but it required as much "work" on my part as when fighting other players' characters.

My working method consists of the usual triad of observing behavioral patterns (this includes preferences for specific move flows and attack frequency), conditioning the opponent according to my needs, and shutting down his defense/offense.

Mirror matches -- like ours -- have the advantage that you are acting within your character's realm that you usually ought to know best. Getting surprised or overwhelmed by unfamiliar techniques is then rather uncommon. Mostly you are prepared for about everything to come, excepting weird flow charts and of course a laggy connection.

But I still remember very clearly something in your play that I have rarely seen executed so consistently before, that is, canceling [P][K][4] with a backward crouch-dash into a Shldrm. While I see some gain in ultra high level play, I never understood why you chose to take away the advantageous pressure that Goh's backturned offered him in those moments.

I would like to comment on your stepping but I don't recall it clearly enough to be absolutely sure that you were rather stationary in the ring, standing in one spot, susceptible to throw guessing games, moving by throwing out moves rather than by stepping around the ring.
