Good Games Thread

I think the point of a dummy account is to get people to play you differently. So noone will admit it generally. I have suspicions but they'll most likely be met with.

That's not me blah blah blah....

Communities so small though that people popping out playing at a medium/advanced level with similar tactics is not likely. Granted, I've been accused of this, but you'd probably say everyone in my little Philly VF circle does play alike. Hell, I taught them all how to play lol

 

Few people do it on here.
Whats gives it away is the fact that if you was intermediate or advanced you would be known already from somewhere.

I always thought it would be interesting to have some random videos and see if people could identify playstyles without being told who's playing.

 

I've always wanted to make a new account just so I could get folks to play me more out of sheer curiosity. Not to stroke my ego, just to have more games with people who normally wouldn't join when i'm hosting simply cause the name said "Tha FeauchA". But you throw a different name in there and have a good connect, more people will join just to see what's up which results in one having more games to play. And I wont lie, I have done it once bout 2 years ago.

But if I recall, there's really no more than bout 5 Akira's running around. Only ones I can think of off top that play AK in the U.S.A. would be me, AZ, Konjou, GT, SMB, Plague and Social Ruin. And for one to disappear and one to magicly appear, it would be pretty easy to tell. Unless one wanted to use another character. Then it'd be kinda hard to pin point.

Yea man we gotta get some more in sometime. Just invite me if you see me on. Only time I won't respond right away is if i'm already in a player match. But if you see me playing Rock Band or Street Fighter, in Quest Mode or Dojo, just throw an invite my way and i'll slide over asap. Just make sure you put it on private first so another person doesn't join.

 

i've had multiple accounts (2 diff i think), but never ones i'd consider "dummy" accounts. It was simply that I loved ranked battles, back when folks were on, but i also wanted to use new characters from time to time, so in which case, i'd start a new account and take them into ranked. (SMB is pai, SMB is me, and My main account Wasted Wish. the pai acct is still active, b/c i'm too lazy to call and cancel, so it auto renews over and over. don't have the SMB is me account anymore.)

two-fold: didn't want to risk my lei fei rank on a new character who i wasn't very good with. and i wanted to see how high i could rank up my new character. Hell, i wish VF made you earn your rank with each character seperately, it would have done away with that whole notion. plus it would have been pretty damn cool if you had a few more options.

Overall Record
Individual W-L for each character.
Character specific Rankings.

they could then let you choose if you wanted your Win-Loss record displayed by your overall, or character specific for whomever you are using. Or not displayed at all (would have been an awesome feature to take egos out of it, and thus kill some of the motivation for disconnectors.)

And of course, the rank that was displayed would have to be tied to which character you were using.

 

I wish I knew how many matches I've played.

Must be hundreds of thousands by now.

 

I've used dummy accounts a few times, mostly cause my gold had expired but a few times i've done it for a laugh.

I remember last time I did it and people were joining that I hadn't played in ages, got some pretty fun games out of it too so no idea why those people avoid me.

Even though it was laggy than a mo fo I still had some fun. You came out the gate like a bull lol. Lots of weird stuff was happenin but that's to be expected in that enviorment. It's amazing sometimes how fast you can throw somebody (even offline) while recovering and tryin to escape a throw, and end up throwing the other person. I won a few rounds like that. Accidental throws but i'll take what I can get

After you started poppin me out of that Zen Flip (I think that's what it's called) with them jabs after my 2 pieces I was trying to slip under instead of going air born, but i'd forget her strings so I didn't know what button to hit next sometimes and i'd end up just standing up lol. But sometimes i'd try her rising kick thing where she does a backwards kart wheel and you'd catch me with that mid on the third part of your string. Nice awareness from ya on that one. And man, that back dash to Jacky's 4/6 P is a killer! Shit! lol. I'd start trying to sabaki them with my 46K, but then you just started kicking me hahah.

I don't really know what else to say except it was some good stuff from ya, even in the lag. It's a shame the connect is like that between us. I honestly don't know how I even can get her lil triple kick thing to work sometimes in that lag. But i'm glad it comes out. Sometimes I only went for two cause I knew the last hit would whiff. More of a guess honestly. But that's neither here nor there.

And yea man, i've been thinking bout using Lion a while ago cause he has that slippery and tricky style, kinda like Eileen. I know it may seem petty, but his dang voice while he does his moves is keeping me from trying to learn him. He has some nasty combos and some dope ass moves though. I may give him another shot sometime. He's one of the only other characters i'd like to learn.

I need to priorities how i study the game, im all over the place. i wanna learn brad and lion.. but if i do that, i cant study Sarah.

Im going to post here because Im scared of the BG thread,

Last night I was hosting with Akira and Addypaddy kept joining, then leaving after one match. All he did was 2P, 2P, DMPK.

I developed a certain attitude where I am not really "there" anymore, like I was outside my own body looking at myself playing VF, so I dont get angry anymore or frustrated. I just keep playing, trying out stuff and trying to have fun.


Having said that, does anybody have fun playing against addy? I am not sure if he is the scrub, or I AM THE SCRUB. I have been thinking that hes not a bad player after all, and the stuff he does works 99% of the time, so why stop doing it?

Lets hear some opinions!

 

Slagging my game I need way more practice against Aoi. I never DMPK`d like a mofo with AK, at least I have a reasonable idea of what I`m doing with him. I`d use DMPK as Pai because it`s a full circular mid. I basically never knew my options against Aoi. Eileen just screws with my head. So generally it ends up with me doing daft things. As for defense, I usually play Pai abare style, possibly because most time it seems to work. However abare = unsafe if your opponents defense is good! I do understand the game, but sometimes you may not think it lol

I should read Kingo`s Aoi wiki, but I play this game pretty casually tbh.

 

He's a scrub bottom line and he can only bring you skill set down. See the problem with playing bums like him is not that you cant beat them easily but its what you have to do to win. You have to dumb your shhit down to win effectively since you cant boot or leave a match.

Last time our connection was a little bit laggy I think, probably due to my gf was browsing the internet, sorry about that.
