Good OM side/back crumple combos?

    Is it even worth using OM's with Brad or are PT /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif or /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif + /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif better?

    PS- I find a it a pain in the ass to perform OM moves (especially online) with Brad since his left/right sways are practically the same input.

    Yes it's worth it. OM is pretty low risk (can fuzzy easy) and highreward when using in the right spots. Also, you don't use them in the same situations so they can't be interchanged (no point in going into PT movement in small advantages or oki etc).

    Also If you are having trouble inputting OM vs slipping right/left, make sure you are all ready dodging before hitting P+K+G to OM.

    I was a little disappointed that the Black Book didn't mention any back or side crumple combos in the combo section. So after a bit of messing about in PS3 Training mode I came up with these. If anyone can find more damaging combos, please share!

    Side Crumple Combos

    1. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif -> /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif (57 pts)
    2. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif -> (60 pts)
    3. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif -> /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif (61 pts)
    4. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif -> (D)/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif (64 pts)
    5. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/d.gif or /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/u.gif -> (SR)/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif (64 pts)

    Combo 1 works on all characters.
    Combo 2 works on all characters. Due to the short range of /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif, you should dash closer with a /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/n.gif (don't use /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif or you might get his jumping knee). For lighter characters, it's possible to do (D)/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif or (SR)/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif as the last hit for an additional 1 or 2 pts.
    Combo 3 works on all characters.
    Combo 4 works on all except Heavy Weights. For some light to mid weights, you can change the last hit to (SR)/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif for 2 more points.
    Combo 5 works on all characters. For Heavy Weights close to the ground, if they try fall recovery too soon, you can get up to 70 pts damage.

    Back Crumple Combos

    1. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f_.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif -> /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif -> /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif (62 pts)
    2. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f_.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif -> /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/d.gif or /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/u.gif -> (SR)/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif (64 pts)
    3. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f_.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif -> /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/d.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif -> /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif (64 pts)

    For all these combos to work, the first hit must be timed correctly so as to refloat the crumpling character.

    Combo 1 works on all characters.
    Combo 2 works up to Lau. For Akira do (D)/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif for 2 pts less.
    Combo 3 works up to Lau. Doing /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif as the last hit yields 2 pts additional damage.

    For the last Side/Back Crumple combo, if the opponent does a failed/too early Fall Recovery, the total damage breaks the 70 pt barrier.

    How do you set up for back crumple?

    You do 8 or 2 p+k+g twice then hit kick. I think you also do it when an opponent tries to do too many strings (I know this from my local competitor doing it with Jeffery).

    This assumes you're playing on the 1P side.

    I set the CPU to roll to the side (background direction), and rise with a mid rising kick. Then I just throw with /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif and OM upwards twice (in the direction of the roll). On the 2nd OM I press /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif which should give you the back crumple against the rising kick.

    The CPU's rising kick should be easy to OM around since from that knockdown position, the mid rising kick will be linear.
