1. Hey Guest, looking for Virtua Fighter 5: Ultimate Showdown content? Rest assured that the game is identical to Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown so all current resources on here such as Command Lists with frame data, Combo Lists and the Wiki still apply. so nobody is talking about gta4 (which is being released worldwide on 29th this month) getting perfect scores from sites like http://www.ign.com and mags like OXM? this is gonna be the best made game since zelda ocarina of time! awesome.

Yeah it's pretty exciting but I'll still be playing VF5. Nothing's going to stop me playing it - I've barely stopped since last summer and no matter how great GTAIV is, it'll never pull me away from VF.

I don't get excited and anxious on new games like I did when I was young, GTAIV has only got me slightly this way in the last week or so - while I do still get a little excited about new fighting games - I am looking forward to soul calibur IV and definitely VF5R. I haven't been as excited about a game like I am VF5R for years.

Before that, the only one that got me super excited was Super SFII Turbo for the SNES.

Which version should I get? I think that XBL is better online, but I'd like to have something to play on my PS3 and anything that I can use to turn off my 360 and forestall the RRoD is good...

I cant wait to play this online and sucker-punch some cop player ing the face in "COPS AND CROOKS" . (Just played the MGO beta, using CQC when guys are shooting throws them off. I heard GTA 4s hand to hand system was updated with reversals and counters, but I dont know if it can match MGO CQC. MGO lets you do disarms, knife neck slit, slams, punch kick, and juijitsu style mount and choke out.

EITHER WAY the sheer number of modes on GTA makes it a definite juggernaught ONLINE. I'm getting the PS3 version, my 360 has a laser problem. IM not going to even think of letting that shitty laser stream all that data. Besides Rockstar will sell SONY the downloadable episodes EVENTUALLY. The need the money before EA buys them out.

360 will have the more stable online with downloads and stuff, but ps3 has slightly better graphical performance and faster loading times due to the installation at the beginning.

    Jaytech:
I believe it was Kotaku that pointed out that IGN called GTA4 the best game since Ocarina of Time, yet they gave a perfect 10 to Soul Blade as well, which was released after OoT...

So is 'Blade's 10 worth less than OoT's 10? And then GTA4's 10 apparently worth less than OoT's 10 as well?

    RAAARGH!

I'll probably get this game when it drops in price in a year or so. As a fan of the first hour I think they really dropped the ball when they went 3d. GTA2 is still the best one if you ask me, they're going to have to fix a lot (crappy aim, crappy driving, crappy colision detection, crappy map, crappy missions) to make me care about 4. And of course it was going to get 10's all over the place, if you gobbled up SA and VC, forgiving it for all its faults, a version which fixes some of the things lacking there is going to taste like angel's piss. (I played VC for some eight hours and got so annoyed by it all I sold it on. I dare not touch the gangsta trash inspired SA.)

    Rant over.

Not worried about the reviews at all, everyone knew it was gonna get 10's everywhere. I didn't enjoy the previous GTA games all that much, they just got too repetitive. I keep hearing how great the story is in this one though, so I'll give it a shot. Gamefly will mail it when they mail it, I'm in no rush.

It can't possibly be worse than Army of Two, in any case. Mailed that one back with the fucking quickness.

    so true.

you gotta look at it that way:
at that time oot was considered the best game available, even if sc got the same score on paper. and zelda is more or less the same genre hence the comparison.
sorry to hear. the eur version ain't cut, so i figured the aus ain't either.

I'll be getting the PS3 version tomorrow. If the 360 downloadable content interests me, I'll pick it up when it's cheaper and play through the extra missions or what-have-you.
