GVN Summer Jam, Philly, PA Aug 22nd

GVN and Summer Jam have merge into one kick ass event. Some games are out other are in. Blazblue and KOF12 will be added and there might be a small side MVC2 tournament.

Door registration starts at 11am. All game starting times will be announced shortly.

-Bring your memory card/hardrive if you want to play an unlockable character.
-BYOC. bring your own controller or arcade stick (please mark it)

-Matches are 2/3, 3/5 for semi finals, 4/7 for grand finals
-3/5 (2/3 rounds for all SF games rounds)
-Double Elimination

Work definitely won't get in the way on this one. Now I'm just worried about school. Not sure how early the fall semester starts. Looking forward to it. Was a nice venue last time.

Unfortunately, I haven't been able to confirm if I can get off work. We are understaffed this summer because of the economy. Hopefully I will be able to find someone to cover my shifts.

We have added UFC undisputed. There's a $500 1st place prize being put up by Chosen1. Here are the rules.

-Double elimination
-Default round time limit
-2/3 fights, 3/5 for winner and loser finals(semi's), 4/7 grand finals
-CAFs ae not allowed.
-Coin flip will determine weight class. Winner gets to pick class, loser gets to pick player first.
-Loser of the fight gets to pick weight class for next bout. Winner then can pick character first.

 

Big news! We ave around 12 people signed up for UFC. and remember there's $500 on the line for first in that game.

Also we will have WCG players at the event. Jamal, Prophecy and Mmmapplesauce will be there and competing.

Noobtube.tv will also be there covering the GVN.

 

I refuse to believe the east coast scene is dead. Get off your couches and come play some offline goodnes!

Alright guys here's the starting times and how its going down.

Now I am going to warn you. Me and Eric are going to try and follow Evo's time management. So EVERYTHING will start on time. If you're going to be late call me or eric ahead of time. No, if's and's or butts. If you're late you will be DQ'd and put in losers bracket. If you signed up you have 10 minutes to show up for your fight or you will be DQ'd. To make things smoother I am bringing my laptop and PC. I wil be dual screening both, so there will be a bracket on each screen. Except for one which will showcase the live stream.
