Have the controls changed in VF5?

Just wondering if anyone noticed a rather dramatic change in the controls in VF5. MANY of the moves (especially cirlular moves and throws, up/towards, and down/back directions) are noticably harder and seem much less forgiving. Either this, or I'm getting a bad signal from the PS2/PS3 converter I have (which I don't think is the case).

I guess all I basically want to know, is whether or not everyone is pulling off their staple moves with their characters just the same as they were in VF4 (and earlier versions). Or, if the controls and timing on everything actually did change (?).

You're using a converter? Which one are you using?

I personally feel the controls are looser than they ever have been in comparison to previous VF titles. Seems more forgiving. Exe feels less strict in most cases to me.

I actually didn't have a single case in which I wouldn't be able to perform any of the moves/combos. Unfortunately I woke up after that, realized that I don't own PS3, and that was just a dream.... *sob* ;(

I play Sarah right now, having trouble with Edge Kick Combo Triple from Step. Don't know why my stick "fighting stick 3" doesn't want to register right. If I turn on the show command, I see there's an extra input in there. Notice that there are extra joystick motion in other moves also, but it comes out right. Wondering if this is due to my cheap joystick?

It's EVM's old converter; he also wasn't sure how well it actually worked, because he had a crappy stick he was using with it. It's called "Joy" something or other, and it's hot pink! LOL.

One thing I like about it, is how long the cord is; it's like an adapter that also serves as an extension. Not sure if it's a 100% perfect connection though; because like I said, I'm having a hard time with moves that were a breeze for me in Evo. In SF, I can tick with Zangief's FAB no problem; yet I'm having trouble with measly 270's on PS3 VF5 (again, this was not the case with VF4).

It's weird, I don't really sense lag, but when I was messing around with the sixaxis (prior to getting the converter), the controls felt so tight and fluid (morso than VF4 even) with the pad; so I'm not sure what the problem really is. Anyway, thanks for the feedback guys. Is ANYONE playing with one of the better sticks (VSHG or HRAP3), and can confirm whether or not there is any changes (?). I'm using a MAS, which for me, was perfect for VF4 (no problems at all!); so I know it has nothing to do with the stick itself.
