Headset for playing VF online

How many of you use the headset when playing online VF5 matches? Is there a way to not have to go wireless, if you are using an arcade stick instead, of a 360 controller?

Thanks, I just received my Arcade-in-a-Box stick, and I might send it back to get the headset jack put in (stupid me forgot to get this option when I was customizing). I was mainly wondering if the headset is used by most people on VFDC when playing online. That way, I'll know if it's worth it! Anyone??

This is probably a noobish question, but I'm a virgin to online gaming.

Yes, that's true, but the original Xbox headset will work; as will just about any cell phone headset that has the little 2.5mm jack. 5% of people use headset!? REALLY? Is this true?

 

I use the headset everytime I play. But I almost always have private matches with people I somewhat know.

You know enough people here in person that I would think you would want to invest in it for when you start playing online.

 

in ranked, yes. but in private matches it's different.

 

I have my Headset always pluged in, but only un-muted it when a gamertag from VFDC shows up.
