    hi..im lei user..
and I use jacky also.. but i was fighting against my friend today..
he used jacky.. and i could beat him but i had trouble when he was attacking me continuously.. such as
[6][P],[4][P][1][P],[6][P][2][P],[6][6][K],[6][P],[2][2][P] and over and over and so on..
    what should i do?
also what moves should i use often?
    thx in advance

p.s. : the last match was sweet... it was 2 :2 situation, and we both had silver amount of health left.. he pulled knee strike, i escaped it, then quicky threw him and beat him.. sweeeeet /versus/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

Remember that versus heavy punch users a very well timed Dokuritsu Shiki ([8]+[P]+[K]+[G]) stance change is your best friend. It will Sabaki all levels of Single Punch and Elbow attacks. His basic Double Palm ([2][3][6]+[P]+[K] is also very nice since it Sabaki's HP,MP,EL, and HE attacks. His Nehan Shiki Stance also has a powerful Windmill Punch ([P]+[K]) that will Sabaki every move except Low Attacks and Double Palm strikes. Those are some weapons it seems your Lei very much so needs. Try'em out and let me know. Good luck.

Just a couple of other notes that might help:

Nehan Shiki is also referred to as Evasive Stance and can be entered with [1][P]+[K]+[G]

[Koko Shiki / Tiger Stance] [P] will sabaki pretty much all mids and highs, also good. Koko Shiki can be entered with [6][K] (fast), [2][P]+[K], [P] (2-hit string) and [6][6][K]+[G] (eats low rising attacks), among other moves.

But as the other poster says, Dokuritsu Shiki ([8][P]+[K]+[G]) will give that Jacky nightmares. /versus/images/graemlins/grin.gif

(Finally, check out the Lei-Fei movelists for Ver.C or Evo, depending on which version you have. There's lots of info on sabaki attacks etc there.)

    Best of luck!

Sounds like you need defensive practice most of all.

I recommend the following ps2 tutorials for you to help develop your defensive and counter attacking skills.

Challenge Tutorial 4-B: how to deal with Jacky's [6][P].

Challenge Tutorial 5-A and 5-B: Select Jacky as the CPU character and guard his attacks. If you guard a throw guaranteed move, then throw him, otherwise counter with a [2][P].

This sounds like basic stuff but it will help develop your reaction and response times, and hopefully get you in the habit of making the right decisions after defending an attack.

With addition to doing [2_][P], work on evading against him if he is being real offensive.

    Moves to use often
    1. [6] + [K] , [K] ( Make sure he is standing up for this!)

    [2] +[G]+[P]+[K] stance
    1. [P], [P]+[K]
    2. [P]+[K] if it connects on a small charge then throw, on your long charge where it kocks him down do [4], [P][P]
    3. [2] , [P]+[K] (New stance) If connects and floats [P], [P], [K]+[G]

    Some basic flowcharts.
    1. [3][3][P], [P] when floats [P], [P], [K]+[G]
    1.2 [3][3][P], any throw

    2. [P],[P],[P]
    2.2 [P],[P],[K]+[G]
2.3 [P],[P], [2]+[K]+[G] (Do this if he starts evading after the second punch, or as a mix up)
2.4 [P],[P], any throw. (If he starts evading, or as a mix up)
2.5 [P],[P] (if he starts low punching you, let the auto jab, elbow parry here take care of this)

Hope some of this helps!! /versus/images/graemlins/smile.gif

a better follow up to almost all of his head crumble moves is his new kick combo

    head crumble -> [4]+[K]+[G],[K],[2]+[K]

it does 3 more points of damage (not a lot i know, but this is just as guaranteed as [4]+[P],[P])

    head crumble moves:
    [2][3][6]+[P]+[K]
    [4][6]+[P]+[K]
[DM] [P]+[K] (highly charged) ([DM] = [2]+[P]+[K]+[G] stance)

i believe a single [4]+[P] also crumbles, but i believe either the recovery of the single hit is either too long or the crumble is to the ribs which leaves the opponent falling faster (not too sure)

if you were to land just the first hit of [4]+[P] the best follow is probably going to be either [2]+[P]+[K],[P] , [3](or [9])+[P]+[K],[P] , [6][6]+[K] , or [2][2](or [8][8])[P]+[K]+[G],[P]

also to note: if you get into the advanced backstagger combos (commonly started by head crumbles) followup the headcrumble with [4]+[P],[P] always, as the [4]+[K]+[G],[K],[2]+[K] combo will leave you with little time to land the backstagger, as the final hit will land moments before the opponent tech rolls

    thx to you all, guys..
i will be sure try try them all out..
but i just have one more question..
when i look at pro's vids..
    i see them doing [3][P]+[G], (evade)[P]+[G]+[K]+,[P], (downattack)[3][K]
but i can't seem to connect it.. what would be the problem?
    thx again

i think the (evade)[P]+[K]+[G],[P] followup only lands up to lau or jacky.. not sure.. i know it's not guaranteed on akira and above

the [3]+[K] at the end will only work if the opponent doesn't techroll after the preceding hits

In Evo it also works against Akira. I also think the best guaranteed followup against Wolf and Jeffry is probably [6][6][K].

More than likely your timing is just off. I sometimes miss it too cause of my timing being off.

Have you tried evading to the side opposite of where your opponent falls?

this doesn't seem to matter really.. the timing issue is really just knowing exactly when to hit [P]+[K]+[G]
